Mammoth Cave BaseCamp - Cabins & Glampground Reviews
I randomly found this place online. My entire family loved it! The cabin was clean. The kids were happy they could hike around the property. We made a campfire each night cooking dinner and smores. Very peaceful location while also being close to Mammoth Cave and other attractions. I would stay here again and recommend this place to all my friends and family!
Apr 04, 2025 · Emily VossmanThese cabins and location were perfect! Came down from illinois for our Anniversary weekend. Location was great, easy to find with the directions given by the owner, clean, and private. If I had to say some things to add, another mirror, only 1 in bathroom. A small dresser, hate living out of a suitcase. There is a closet though with hangers. Nothing to take a star away for though.Wonderful weekend! We will be back.Cabins and RV hook ups
Nov 03, 2024 · DeAnna WarcholWe stayed for 1 week near the end of July and the location was fantastic. Far enough from the interstate that you can feel secluded but close enough that it's 10 minutes to the grocery or restaurants. We used it as a jumping off point to visit Mammoth caves and Crystal onyx cave and we also took advantage of the nearby attractions for horse riding, mini golf, etc. Kids had a blast and the caretaker was always nearby if we needed anything. The cabin itself is much bigger than I expected based on the pictures. We're a large family of 7 but it never felt too small. We've definitely stayed in much smaller places. The kids really enjoyed the loft and the games like corn hole that were available. I loved having most of a kitchen (no oven) as it's helped us do more with our money by cooking most meals. Small touches, like having a bundle of sticks and logs by the fire pit ready to go, really makes you feel like the people running it care that you enjoy your stay. I've already talked with family and we want to come down again next year with a larger group! 100% if you're in the area the Base camp is the best bang for your buck!
Jul 25, 2024 · Brittany IvyWe stayed 2 nights in cabin #4 this week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was very clean, quiet, & cutely decorated! The staff responded quickly to any questions we had. These cabins are truly a hidden gem. We traveled down from Indiana to Cave City to tour several caves in the area. This location was perfect because it was close to many of the places we visited & we could pop back to the cabin for a quick lunch/rest before going to our next activity. We will definitely be booking here again if we visit this area in the future!
Jun 06, 2024 · Tausha JohnsonMy wife and I stayed in cabin #1 from 8-26 to 8-29-24. We were attending an advent in Cave City an the cabin was a perfect location to stay. From the secluded location to the absolute sterile environment the host goes over and above to make sure everything is perfect. There was no surprises you knew exactly what to expect. We were completely comfortable and would highly recommend these little hidden gems to anyone looking for a weekend getaway. Super close to mammoth cave and all the other attractions in and around Cave City.We can not wait to return in the fall .
