Manns Campground Introduce
Are you seeking a traditional "camping near me" experience nestled within the scenic beauty of Ashley National Forest near Manila, Utah? Manns Campground, located on UT-44 within Ashley National Forest, Manila, UT 84046, USA, offers a well-maintained and classic camping environment ideal for tent campers and those with small trailers. Based on recent reviews, this campground provides the essential elements for a satisfying outdoor getaway, emphasizing a connection with nature in a clean and well-kept setting.
The environment at Manns Campground is characterized by its location within the expansive Ashley National Forest. This vast protected area boasts diverse landscapes, including mountains, forests, lakes, and streams, offering a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreation and exploration. The presence of a "nearby stream" at Manns Campground is a significant environmental feature, likely providing a source of natural beauty, potential wildlife viewing opportunities, and the soothing sounds of flowing water. The overall atmosphere is one of natural immersion, allowing campers to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the tranquility of the forest.
In terms of services and features, Manns Campground focuses on providing the fundamental necessities for a comfortable camping experience. One reviewer, who revisited the campground after 14 years, noted that it had "exactly as I remembered it. Everything you need for a good camping experience." This suggests a consistent and reliable offering of essential amenities. A key highlight is the cleanliness of the facilities, with the "bathroom was very clean" being specifically mentioned. This attention to hygiene contributes significantly to a positive camping experience, especially in a natural setting. The campgrounds themselves are also described as "well kept," indicating that the overall area is maintained to a good standard.
For cooking and campfires, Manns Campground provides "fire grates" at the campsites, allowing for safe and contained campfires and outdoor cooking. This is a standard and appreciated amenity for those who enjoy the traditional camping experience of gathering around a fire. However, it is crucial to note that, according to a reviewer who found the campground empty in June 2020, "No provided water" is available. This is a critical piece of information for potential campers, who must ensure they bring an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. The presence of "pit toilets" is also mentioned, which are a common amenity in more rustic or remote campgrounds.
Regarding the suitability for different types of camping setups, one reviewer observed that Manns Campground is a "Nice spot for tents and small trailers" but noted that "Sites too small for RVs." This is an important consideration for those planning to camp with larger recreational vehicles; Manns Campground may not be suitable due to the size constraints of the individual campsites. Therefore, it is primarily geared towards tent campers and those with smaller towable trailers.
One suggestion for improvement from a reviewer was the addition of some kind of roof or top for the picnic tables. The absence of shade at picnic areas can be a drawback, especially during hot or rainy weather. While the campground provides picnic tables (implied by the suggestion), the lack of overhead cover might be something to consider for campers planning to spend extended time at their site.

Manns Campground Reviews
It had been 14 years since I had been to Mann's but it was exactly as I remembered it. Everything you need for a good camping experience. Bathroom was very clean & the campgrounds were well kept. Only thing I think would make it better is if the picnic tables had some kind of roof or top.
