Markham Park Campground Reviews
We stayed at Markham Park for one night on our way down to the Keys. The park was a little dirty in some areas, but overall it’s still a nice spot. The campsites are laid out in a circle, which gives it a cozy, community feel. It was very quiet during our stay, and everyone we met was friendly. One of the coolest features was the R/C airfield; it was really fun to watch the planes flying around! Not the cleanest park we’ve been to, but it did the job for a peaceful overnight stop.
Apr 13, 2025 · Alyssa McIntyreNice wide campsites, all situated on a circle making it easy to find your spot and back right in.. Underneath flight path for FLL so be ready for aircraft noise.. Also has gun range so be prepared for firing range noise, overall we had a nice stay.
Jan 07, 2025 · K MccartMy site was in A7. Excellent, quiet, clean, lots af things to do, great staff. I'm definitely returning. Dog friendly. At night, you need flashlights because it gets dark. There are not many lights. The spaces are mainly gravel and dirt unless you are handicap. They have a few spaces with cement pads for handicap campers. Restrooms clean.
Jun 12, 2023 · Rin Tin TinCongratulations, Markham Park for providing the most filthy and disgusting bathrooms and showers of any campground we stayed at during our 5000 mile journey from WA to FL. Regarding the sites, they’re a combination of mud, dirt and sand coupled with plastic and garbage. The trash trailer was uncovered and swarming with flies. On the morning we left they were cleaning the floor of the men’s bathroom without sweeping, using a filthy mop that turned the dirt into mud and just sloshed it around the floor. The drain was clogged with enough hair to make a wig. This is my first review ever, but it was such a mess that I felt compelled to let others know. Night and day with Colt Creek State Park campground, also in Florida.
Feb 13, 2025 · O LGreat location with lots of activities such as biking, gun range to boating. There is a bike paths just out side of the park that if you take it east you can take it to Ikea or as far as downtown ft lauderdale. Great dog park. The campsites need the landscaping taken care of.
