Granite State Campground Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in the Belmont, New Hampshire area? Granite State Campground, located at 4 Cycle Ln, Belmont, NH 03220, offers a camping experience that has garnered both praise for its facilities and staff, and some notes regarding its setting and site density. If you're a local user searching for a convenient camping spot, let's delve into what Granite State Campground has to offer based on available information.
To get in touch with the campground, you can call them at (603) 393-6003 or their mobile number, +1 603-393-6003. This makes it easy to inquire about availability, specific site details, or any other questions you might have as you plan your local camping trip.
Based on feedback from fellow campers, a significant highlight of Granite State Campground is its staff. One reviewer who stayed for two weeks mentioned that the staff was "extremely friendly and hospitable." This suggests a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, which can greatly enhance your camping experience. Knowing that the people running the campground are helpful and accommodating can provide peace of mind, especially if you are new to camping or require assistance during your stay.
Another frequently mentioned positive aspect is the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. The same long-term camper noted that the "facilities were always clean, smelling good and fully stocked along with the entire campground." Clean and well-maintained bathrooms and overall campground areas are crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable camping trip. This positive feedback indicates that Granite State Campground prioritizes hygiene and upkeep, which is a significant plus for many campers.
However, it's important to provide a balanced perspective, and some reviews offer a different viewpoint regarding the camping environment. One reviewer, while acknowledging the effort and care put into the place, pointed out that the campground seems to have maximized its capacity, potentially impacting the camping experience. They mentioned that the tent sites felt very close to each other, lacking privacy and sound barriers. This camper also noted that the sound of the nearby highway and a neighboring house detracted from a sense of rustic tranquility. Additionally, they mentioned a lack of on-site activities such as trails or waterfront access, and that a portion of the campground consists of year-round tiny homes.
This feedback suggests that while Granite State Campground may excel in terms of staff and cleanliness, the overall ambiance might be less secluded or nature-focused than some campers might prefer. If you prioritize a quiet, rustic experience with ample privacy and natural surroundings, this is something to consider. The reviewer explicitly stated that their experience did not align with what they perceived from other reviews, emphasizing the compact nature of the campground.
Despite the proximity of campsites, the positive remarks about the friendly fellow campers suggest a community atmosphere. If you enjoy interacting with other campers, this could be a benefit of staying at Granite State Campground.
In summary, for local users searching for "camping near me," Granite State Campground in Belmont, NH, offers a convenient location with friendly staff and clean, well-maintained facilities. These are significant advantages that contribute to a positive camping experience for many. However, potential campers should also be aware that the campground might have a higher density of sites, leading to less privacy, and that the surrounding environment may include some noise from the highway and nearby residences. Additionally, the availability of natural amenities like trails or waterfront appears to be limited.
To make the best decision for your local camping needs, consider what aspects of camping are most important to you. If cleanliness and friendly service are high on your list, Granite State Campground seems to deliver well in these areas. If you are looking for a more secluded, nature-immersive experience with on-site recreational activities, you might want to weigh these factors against the convenience and positive service aspects of this campground.
For those in the "camping near me" category looking for a place with excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, Granite State Campground is worth considering. We recommend contacting them directly at (603) 393-6003 or +1 603-393-6003 to inquire about site availability and to get a better understanding of the current setup and any specific amenities that might be of interest to you. While specific promotional information was not provided in the reviews, it's always a good idea to ask when you call. They might have special offers for local residents or deals for longer stays. Granite State Campground Reviews
I feel bad giving 3 stars because I can see the effort and care that went into this place, but it’s also been maximized for capacity, at a great loss. The tent sites are literally on top of each other. No privacy. No sound barriers. The sound of the highway and the house next door (on the other side of the thin layer of trees) really detracts from a camping experience. There’s nothing to do. No trails, no water front, nothing. Half the “campground” is year round tiny homes?Yes, the bathrooms are nice. Donny was nice at check-in. But I was hoping for more of a rustic / quiet camping experience. None of the reviews reflect this, so I’m making sure it’s known .. this is a very small parcel of land with a maximum number of campsites on it.Thank goodness the campsite above mine was unavailable. I would have heard them swallow their food.
Sep 02, 2024 · Katy MurrayStayed at the campground for 2 weeks and the staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. The facilities were always clean, smelling good and fully stocked along with the entire campground. Fellow campers were also friendly too. Highly recommend this place for the night or longer!
Sep 02, 2024 · Ryan LaVoieGreat comfortable place to camp with electric, cold water, and super clean bath house. Dog friendly and no frills. Highly recommend. One of the rare places your dog is welcome. Thank You!
Jul 13, 2024 · JulieVery nice Campground. We appreciated how clean and maintained everything was. The location was super close to most things in the Lakes Region with the Campground being located right off Rte 106. You could hear some cars at night but wasn’t that loud. I think Next time we might pick a different site for a little more wiggle room within the site. Great stay!
