Apr 06, 2025 · Michaela MarieWe spent 7 months camping at Hobbs Family Farm and Campground. It is a bare bones campground at the moment, but Mr. Hobbs is adding amenities all the time. We loved being out in the country. It is so peaceful and very quiet. You can actually look up in the sky and see the stars at night.Mr. Hobbs has all kinds of farm animals that you can admire. The donkeys are so friendly. They will come right up to you for you to give them a rub behind the ears.If you are looking for something long term, short term, or a quick stopover, this is the place to go. It is right on the Waccamaw River. There is even a boat ramp for you to put your boat in the river and go fishing. Or, you can fish right from the bank.We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the great scenery along the Waccamaw River. You definitely need to check them out.
Feb 01, 2024 · Tracy BessThis family run campground was just what we needed. There are 3 lots, we stayed in campground C. The other reviews were right, the folks treat you like family. Anything you need they will make happen. The plus to my weekend was to have Donkeys right next to our site. They loved the carrots and the little donkey gets out and hangs out at your campsite.
Aug 08, 2023 · Nancy BrayboyVery clean and mostly quiet with access to the river. I haven't stayed there. I live in a house on the riverside between the 3 campgrounds. If you love nature you will enjoy your stay. The Waccamaw river is beautiful!
