Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Introduce
For local users in the Galway, New York area searching for "camping near me," Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp, located at 2501 Northline Rd, Galway, NY 12074, presents itself as a campground with a reputation for friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere, particularly noted by those who stay for extended periods. However, recent feedback also indicates potential issues with campsite conditions that prospective campers should be aware of.
The environment of Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp appears to be generally pleasant, as one long-term visitor describes it as a "nice campground." This suggests a setting that is conducive to camping and likely offers the natural beauty typical of upstate New York. The fact that someone stays for a few months every year implies that the campground provides a comfortable and appealing environment for longer stays, potentially catering to seasonal RVers or those seeking a temporary home in the area. However, a contrasting review details significant ruts on at least one campsite (site number 6), described as being up to 8 inches deep. This suggests that while some areas of the campground may be well-maintained, others might have issues with uneven terrain.
In terms of services, Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp is praised for its "great people on the staff" and the friendliness encountered in the office. This positive interaction with staff can significantly enhance the camping experience, providing assistance and creating a welcoming environment. The campground seemingly accommodates RVs, as indicated by the review about parking a trailer on a site. However, the response to the reported ruts on the campsite raises concerns about the level of maintenance and the responsiveness to addressing site-specific issues. While a gentleman did use a front-end loader to fix a hole in the street, the ruts within the campsite itself were not addressed, and the staff member reportedly showed a lack of concern. This discrepancy in addressing maintenance issues might be a point of consideration for potential campers.
A key feature of Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp, based on one review, is the friendly and helpful nature of its staff, especially for those who are long-term visitors. This can foster a sense of community and make for a more enjoyable stay. However, the significant ruts reported on at least one campsite are a notable feature that potential campers should be aware of. The fact that these ruts were known and reported by a previous occupant but not fixed indicates a potential issue with timely maintenance of individual sites. The availability of sites for trailers (RVs) is another feature, suggesting that the campground caters to this type of camping.
The discrepancy between the positive feedback regarding the staff and the negative experience with the campsite condition highlights a potential inconsistency in the overall quality of the campground. While some aspects, like staff interaction, might be commendable, the physical condition of individual campsites may vary and could be a concern for some campers, particularly those with mobility issues or specific requirements for a level site.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential seasonal discounts, long-term stay rates, or any other special offers should contact the campground directly at (518) 882-6605 or +1 518-882-6605 to inquire. It might also be helpful to check online camping platforms or the campground's website (if available) for any advertised promotions or deals.
The location of Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp in Galway, NY, places it within Saratoga County, which is known for its scenic landscapes and proximity to the Adirondack Mountains. Galway is a small town offering a more rural and peaceful setting, potentially appealing to those looking for a quieter camping experience away from more crowded tourist areas. The surrounding region offers opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and exploring the natural beauty of upstate New York. The proximity to Saratoga Springs, with its cultural attractions and historical significance, could also be a draw for campers staying in the area.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Galway, NY area, Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp offers the benefit of friendly staff and appears to be a popular choice for long-term stays. However, the reported issue with significant ruts on at least one campsite is a factor that should be considered. Potential campers, especially those with RVs or specific site requirements, may want to inquire about the condition of their assigned site before arrival. While the positive feedback about the staff is encouraging, ensuring the quality and suitability of the campsite itself is crucial for a satisfactory camping experience.
In conclusion, Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp in Galway, NY, is a campground that receives positive remarks for its friendly staff and seems to be a preferred location for seasonal or long-term campers. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with the condition of some campsites, specifically mentioning deep ruts that were not promptly addressed. Local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh the positive reports about the staff against the potential for encountering site maintenance issues and consider contacting the campground directly to inquire about the current condition of available campsites before making a reservation.

Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Reviews
I showed up this weekend was a sign site number 6 they were very friendly in the office went down to put my trailer on the site found huge ruts throughout the campsite went up reported them they said that they would address it after an hour gentleman came down with a front end loader with dirt fix the hole in the street told me he couldn't do anything about the ruts in the site I asked him to talk to me about it he just said no! These rutts were up to 8 in deep they did tell me they knew they were there the prior person on the site reported them they just didn't have the time to fix them and the lady that sits in the office on the left showed no concern over the condition of the site. I did take photographs but don't know how to post them.

May 02, 2025 · Eric LaJueneIf you are driving an RV take Rt 50 to 67- a straight shot, no back roads. GPS will get you lost. This is a wonderful family property. Your in the country, you might have "mud" or a low branch here and there. It is worth the money.Every time I visit my children we will stay here.
Sep 22, 2023 · Teller OfTruthStayed there for the first time during the Phish benefit Shows in August 2023. Bus to the and from the concert from the campground. Beautiful place to stay! Had a great time, minus a freak accident that sent me to the hospital in the middle of the night. But the staff was so helpful and accommodating. This is the only place I will stay when going to concerts at Saratoga from now on. Very clean, quiet, fun and just an all around good time! Big thank you to the whole campground staff!
Sep 13, 2023 · Kenny NelsonWe visited the campground in May 2023. The location is not easily accessible through highway. You have to travel on many small roads. Not good for a big RV. Our roof got damaged from the branches. Now lets talk about the Campground. The scenery is beautiful and calming. The RV lot that we was assigned to us, was not flat and there were lots of trees around it. We tried to balance the motorhome using the wood but still it was not balanced. My husband and I both got neck pain after sleeping in the RV. That never happened before. The park is spacious. They have a fishing pond ( Catch and release) and a swimming pool. We just caught a tiny fish. But there were more fish in the pond. The pool is on the smaller side. The bathroom next to the swimming pool was like an outhouse. It has no hot water and no showers. It was disgusting. The roads inside the campground were a mess with lots of potholes. It needs lot of upgrading and cleaning. Go somewhere else.
