Gulpha Gorge Campground Reviews
Absolutely wonderful place to RV and stay for vacation when visiting Hot Springs, AR. This has to be the best campground spots we've stayed at. Our site was right on the creek with a spectacular view and calm surrounding of the park. The trails that lead right into the hot springs downtown were also very fun to hike and see. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Apr 19, 2025 · Aaron MillerThey need to make half stars as this is a 3.5 star campground. It’s clean , well minus the trash in and on the opposite side of the creek that doesn’t get picked up . Bath Houses are nice and clean , only one has showers but they are very nice . Lots of dog crap everywhere , I hate lazy dog owners . Sites can be close together near the creek and in the middle of the campground , the only larger sites are right next to the road and that traffic is heard all night . If you are passing through and visiting the downtown area this is for you , you can walk but most will need to drive which kind of defeats a campground in a national park but it’s unique to the area . Lots of things to visit and do so if our just looking for a place to sleep then you found your place . If you want something littlemore immersed in nature then stay at Ouachita State Park .
Apr 04, 2025 · Chris DavisWe loved this beautiful campground. There are a few shortcomings: tight turns, trees that make it a bit difficult to park, but it was well worth it. Some sites back right up to the creek, and these require some blocks to level, but most of the others are fine. Restrooms require a code, and each one is self contained with sink, toilet and shower. We were here during a heavy rain storm so couldn't hike. Very shady. We camped at Gulpha Gorge Campground in a Motorhome.
Apr 07, 2025 · JoAnne OwensGreat RV park. Walks along river and up to hilltops are awesome. Staff very knowledgeable l. Sites are a bit too close and only 1 toilet/shower. Even given that, still worth spending a night or two there!
Apr 10, 2025 · Kathy KTL;DR: Gulpha Springs Campground offers nice bathrooms but closely packed sites, which can be noisy for tent campers. Avoid Spot 34 due to the communal trash bin.Gulpha Springs Campground in Hot Springs National Park is an okay option for camping. While there are plenty of spots, they are very close together, which might be an issue if you’re a light sleeper in a tent, as camper noise can be a disturbance. The bathrooms are very nice and clean, but access is locked (you’ll get the code in your welcome email). However, there are only two bathrooms in the main bathhouse, so that’s something to keep in mind. If you’re picking a site, I’d recommend avoiding Spot 34—it’s located right next to the communal trash bin, which isn’t ideal. Overall, it’s a decent campground but has a few drawbacks, especially for tent campers.
