Meadville Campground Introduce
Looking for the perfect camping experience right here in your local area? Within the "camping near me" category, Meadville Campground offers a seemingly accessible option for those seeking outdoor recreation in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Located at 25164 State Rte 27, Meadville, PA 16335, USA, this campground can be reached at (814) 789-3251 or +1 814-789-3251 for inquiries and reservations.
To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction, it's essential to consider various aspects of the campground, including its environment, services, and features. While direct firsthand experience is invaluable, we can glean insights from available information, particularly from the perspectives of past visitors.
Based on the limited information available online, specifically the provided customer reviews, a nuanced picture of Meadville Campground emerges. It's important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of what the campground offers. However, they provide valuable feedback that potential local users should consider.
One recurring theme in the provided reviews is a concern regarding customer service. One reviewer explicitly states that they would "never camp at this Campground again" due to the perceived lack of customer service and rudeness from the management. This individual also mentions instances of favoritism and inconsistent policy enforcement. While this is a significant concern, it's crucial to remember that this is one person's experience.
Another point of feedback relates to the campground's amenities. The pool is described as "always cold," and the bathrooms and playground equipment are labeled as "nasty and outdated." These comments suggest potential shortcomings in the maintenance and upkeep of certain facilities. Families with children might be particularly interested in the condition of the playground, while the temperature and cleanliness of the pool and bathrooms are important considerations for all campers.
Furthermore, one reviewer mentions negative interactions regarding seasonal arrangements for their son, expressing dissatisfaction with the campground's flexibility. Another comment suggests that while there are activities for children, the offerings for adults are lacking. These points could be relevant for families and those seeking a wider range of recreational options during their stay.
It's also noted that seasonal rates have been increasing, leading some long-term campers to leave. This information might be pertinent for local users considering a seasonal commitment to the campground.
Considering these points, local users searching within the "camping near me" category should approach Meadville Campground with cautious awareness. While the location might be convenient, and the presence of maintenance staff who are described positively is a potential asset, the concerns raised about customer service, the condition of amenities like the pool and bathrooms, and the perceived lack of flexibility in certain policies warrant careful consideration.
To form a more complete picture, it would be beneficial to seek additional information from various sources. This could include looking for other online reviews on different platforms, directly contacting the campground management to inquire about their policies and address the concerns raised, or even visiting the campground beforehand to assess the facilities and environment firsthand, if possible.
When searching within the "camping near me" category, local users often prioritize convenience and accessibility. Meadville Campground's location in Meadville, PA, certainly caters to this. However, the overall camping experience encompasses more than just location. Factors such as the quality of services, the cleanliness and functionality of amenities, the atmosphere and management style, and the overall value for money are equally important.
For local users specifically, the sense of community and the way long-term or repeat campers are treated can also be a significant factor. The comments regarding favoritism and the handling of seasonal arrangements suggest potential issues in this area that local campers might want to explore further.
In conclusion, while Meadville Campground is geographically within the "camping near me" search results for local users in the Meadville, PA area, the available customer feedback highlights several areas of concern. Potential campers should weigh these concerns carefully against the convenience of the location and consider seeking additional information before making a decision. It is recommended to inquire directly with the campground about the specific issues raised in the reviews and to assess whether the facilities and services meet their individual needs and expectations for a local camping experience.
This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the limited information available. It is crucial for prospective campers to conduct their own due diligence to ensure that Meadville Campground aligns with their preferences for a local camping getaway.

Meadville Campground Reviews
Just FYI lady that runs the campground will comment on this review and try to make me the bad person like she does everyone else’s negative comments. My recommendations I would never camp at this Campground again. Lady that runs the campground lacks customer service and is extremely rude. The guys that do the maintenance are awesome and should teach her customer service but the lady that runs the office has one of the worse customer service ever. She may say she doesn’t play favorites but she does and she has broke her own policies for other campers but it’s okay if she does it. Pool is always cold, bathrooms are nasty and out dated, and playground equipment out dated. Save your money and a head ache and go else where trust me. If you have one disagreement with the lady that runs the campground or discrepancy on something your asked to leave and never come back. So glad I don’t have to deal with this campground anymore. And if you do camp at the campground you will find quickly how the word goes around about the bad customer service. Good Luck.
Oct 11, 2024 · Jason AmendolaThey did my son dirty. No good things to say. They werent busy and wouldnt budge for my son to be a seasonal for another year. Thats how they treat their people Their pool is always freezing. They have activities for kids, but it stinks for adults. They keep raising seasonal rates, people starting to leave. Its their own fault the business is goIng downhill!
Sep 23, 2024 · Diane GigliottiThis campground is so spacious and the people are so friendly. I have been a seasonal for 5 yrs and look forward to our weekends at camp. If you are a person who enjoys camping, this place is a " must" to visit. Owners are very helpful and friendly.
Sep 15, 2024 · Karen MerrihewI have pros and cons about our experience the campground.Upon checking in, we were led by a golf cart to our site and the driver helped my husband park. Talk about an awesome amenity! He even brought us our firewood. The location is nice...grounds are nice. Seems to focus on family which is great. The bath house's absolutely sucked. Filthy is an understatement. There were bugs (alive and dead) all thru the shower stall that had hardly any pressure. Other shower out of order. It needs updated badly, as do the swing sets on the grounds and the paddle boats. Broken and dangerous. In my opinion, the bath house should be one of the first things that get taken care of. I know it costs money to update, but in the meantime, it should be kept clean and sanitary. Just because the sinks are yellow and the toilet seats are broken and the shower is disgusting, it still needs to be kept clean. Will we be back? Yes. It was overall a pretty place and with a few improvements, it will be top notch!
Jul 05, 2023 · Paula OdonnellWe stay at a lot of KOA campgrounds. This was our first at a KOA Journey as opposed to KOA Holiday or Resort. After reading the definitions on the KOA site my expectations were lowered a little. I normally stay at the KOA (Erie/McKean) but this one was closest to a family wedding in Cambridge Springs and was a bonus camping trip for us.I was pleasantly surprised it still had some Holiday type features like a nice pool, camp store, fishing ponds and play areas. What you won't find it deluxe paved patio sites and fancy cabins. Our Site was a grass pull through. It was pretty level and the electric, water, and sewar hook ups were in good shape and easy to access. IWe visited on their last weekend of the season. The store while still reasonably stocked had some good end of season sales going on. The check in people were friendly and efficient and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Very nice peopleTraveling in a pop up camper clean shower/bathroom facilities are important to us. These were clean and in good working order. The building isn't heated like KOA's that stay open year around in this area, so I'm not faulting them for this. While the shower was one of the ones I usually hate because of having to press a button to turn on the shower, the shower did get hot enough and it stayed on long enough to have a decent shower. It took two presses on the shower as I was having a semi luxurious hot shower since the place wasn't real crowded.I found this place clean, comfortable and well run. If life brings us to this area, we will definitely stay again.
