Feb 26, 2023 · Stephy RangelWe loved this camp site! The lake was gorgeous. The actual campsite was very easy to back into with our RV and it had nice gravel with a post to hang a lantern, as well as a fire pit. The picnic table was in great condition. No problem with the electric and water hookup. It had nice clean bathrooms also. We really appreciated that the camp grounds provided free air with a tire gauge on it. We’re definitely returning to this very nice campground.
Oct 19, 2024 · Leopoldo TamargoDepends on what you want - this is a very small state park with great access to Lake Burton - it is primarily a campground. Good, clean facilities - two bathhouses, small store at checkin station, firewood available for purchase, pavilion, nice playground, docks, kayak rental, lots of benches along the lakefront & Moccasin Creek. Trailered boat ramp across the creek next to the fish hatchery. Downside - no privacy for campsites, users & waiting line at dump station block driveways into some of the campsites, limited hiking available (the 1.5 mile hike to Hemlock Falls is definitely worth it.)
Oct 25, 2022 · Gerald WilliamsonThis is a small but very nice campground. I prefer a little more distance between sites, but it does encourage you to meet and talk with your fellow campers close by.This is a lake front campground that has a trout farm across the river. This is also a very older camper friendly campground with very nice walkways and paths around the park, and all sites are close to bath house facilities.I am an amature astronomer and I have to say that this location has beautiful and very dark skies, so bring your backpack scope if you have one.
Aug 14, 2021 · Rachel DavisI would like to see this park get more funding remodeling and some heaters in the bathrooms very crowded at times
