However, one customer review highlighted a potential drawback regarding free-range chickens roaming the campground. Moosehead Family Campground Reviews
Cute campground. Several different site locations, some more private than others. They offer firewood for sale on the premises, and the bathrooms were extremely clean and well stocked the owners of the campground live on the premises, and they are always working to improve and keep the campground looking nice and inviting
Jan 14, 2025 · Re FiCampground sites were nice & showers very clean. My problem was they had free range chickens which is fine if your not running a campground. They would come right through our site and poop on our outdoor rug and picnic table. I had to worry about chicken poop getting tracked into the camper and keeping our dog from wanting to chase them. Not as relaxing as I hoped.
Oct 18, 2024 · Val WellsRight in town so great location with access to the grocery store...but also feels secluded...great service very prompt and the owner is vigilant and keeps the grounds well tended. Bathroom and showers were clean. Felt my kids were safer here with less traffic being at a smaller camp site. Called to get a grate for the fire pit...left a voice message and five minutes later the owner drove up and dropped it off. Highly recommend.
Sep 28, 2024 · Heather SchonWhat makes this campground amazing? The owners. Kind, friendly, patient, helpful. We had an amazing week! Campground is beautiful. The lots are wooded for a bit of privacy. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. So nice to walk around. Bathhouse is very nice. Not at all what I expected for a campground. Clean and well kept.Campground is close to grocery store, gas, MooseHead lake, public beach for swimming, downtown Greenville (lots of cool little shops and restaurants), ATV access. Beginning of "100 Mile Wilderness" Appalachian Trail is 10 minutes (by car). This is a really great campground for campers, RVs, tents. Thanks J&E!
Aug 04, 2024 · Andi KwapienThe owners, from the moment my family and I arrived, were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. This campground is very well kept, the public bathrooms are the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground, it’s quiet, there’s a playground for kids, and it’s beautiful. This will be a regular place for us to camp and I highly recommend them to anyone with a camper, RV, or a tent!
