Brassua Lake Camps Introduce
Are you searching for exceptional "camping near me" in the picturesque state of Maine? Look no further than Brassua Lake Camps, situated at 52 Lake Camps, Rockwood, ME 04478, USA. This charming destination offers a unique blend of comfortable cabin rentals and a tranquil lakeside environment, making it an ideal choice for locals seeking a relaxing getaway or an adventurous outdoor experience.
Brassua Lake Camps distinguishes itself by providing cabin accommodations rather than traditional tent or RV campsites, offering a comfortable and convenient option for those who prefer a more structured lodging experience amidst nature. The reviews from previous guests consistently highlight the quality and appeal of these cabins. One visitor who rented a cabin specifically praised its excellent location for upland hunting, emphasizing the "awesome" morning views. This suggests that Brassua Lake Camps is ideally positioned within a scenic area that appeals to hunters and nature lovers alike.
A significant advantage for many travelers is the pet-friendly policy mentioned in one of the reviews. The ability to bring dogs inside the rented cabin is a notable feature, ensuring that your furry companions can also enjoy the vacation comfortably by your side. This thoughtful amenity makes Brassua Lake Camps a welcoming option for pet owners seeking "camping near me" that accommodates their entire family.
The comfort of the cabins is another recurring positive aspect. Guests have described the accommodations as "super comfortable" and a "warm place to warm up after hunting," indicating that the cabins are well-maintained and provide a cozy retreat regardless of the weather. The "rustic feel" of the cabins, appreciated by one guest, adds to the authentic Maine experience, blending natural charm with modern comfort.
Families will find Brassua Lake Camps particularly appealing, as highlighted by a reviewer who stayed in the 3rd cabin. They described the space as "accommodating, clean, and just perfect for a family of 5." This suggests that the cabins are spacious enough to comfortably host families, providing a home away from home in a beautiful setting. The cleanliness of the accommodations further contributes to a positive and enjoyable stay for all ages.
The environment surrounding Brassua Lake Camps is consistently praised for its tranquility and natural beauty. One guest noted that "the whole place was tranquil and the water was wonderful," indicating that the location offers a peaceful escape from the stresses of daily life. The proximity to Brassua Lake provides opportunities for various water-based activities, although specific details about these activities are not mentioned in the provided reviews. However, the allure of "wonderful" water suggests possibilities for swimming, fishing, or simply enjoying the lakeside scenery.
While the majority of feedback is positive, one review mentioned a concern about the trampoline needing replacement due to safety concerns for children. This is a specific piece of feedback that potential visitors with young children might want to consider. It's always a good idea to inquire about the current status of amenities like trampolines when booking, especially if they are a significant factor in your family's recreational plans.
The level of service at Brassua Lake Camps appears to have mixed reviews. One guest acknowledged that "they definitely covered the little things and they were very nice through email." This indicates efficiency and helpfulness during the booking process. However, the same reviewer noted that "in person they seemed a bit unwelcoming," attributing this to what "seems like the local way." This suggests that while the initial interactions might be satisfactory, the in-person demeanor could be perceived differently by some visitors. It's important to keep in mind that perceptions of friendliness can be subjective.
Despite this point, the overall sentiment from guests is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return. One heartfelt review included a thank you to "Eric for a family vacation we don't ever want to forget." This powerful statement underscores the memorable experiences that Brassua Lake Camps can provide, suggesting that the positive aspects of the location and accommodations far outweigh any minor concerns.

Brassua Lake Camps Reviews
Loved the cabin we rented it was well placed for upland hunting and the view every morning was awesome. Loved being able to bring the dogs inside and the place was super comfortable. My gf loved the rustic feel and I enjoyed that it was a warm place to warm up after hunting. The only thing I have to say if in cabin 4 if you’re taller than 6’1” its going to be tight in the shower height wise but it’s definitely not something big enough to drop it below a 5. I definitely will be back and can’t wait to stay here again.

In person they seemed a bit unwelcoming but that seems like the local way.The space was accommodating, clean and just perfect for a family of 5 in the 3rd cabin. The whole place was tranquil and t he water was wonderful. The only negative is the trampoline needs to be replaced, my kids were scared to jump on itWe want to come back and thank you Eric for a family vacation we don't ever want to forget.
Aug 14, 2024 · Mary PadillaMy husband and I arrived here and we were very disappointed. The pictures we saw were much better. It was very steep to get in to cabin no way could you sit out and enjoy a fire. There was black plastic around all around the bottom of cabin. The bathroom had exposed wires without a ground fault outlet. Screen in bathroom was filthy and should have been clean. We loved Maine but will not stay here ever again.
Sep 06, 2023 · Melody MolnarWe booked through Air B&B for a short getaway and to explore the Greenville area more. We loved our stay. Our son loved the playground! We stayed in cabin 1 and it was perfect for our 3 person family. We do recommend you pack your own good/groceries- being from the coast of Maine We assumed shopping/ restaurants would be closer. It's a great place to get away to just make sure you're more prepared than we were.
Apr 26, 2021 · Aaren DowGreat place on the water! Good location. Awesome view! Good separation between your rustic cabin and the others.
