Mounds State Park Family Campgrounds Reviews
Not the largest campground, which works for us. It butts up to a small airfield. We loved seeing the little planes. We walked down by the river. The camp store has anything you would need. There is is nice youth group camping area too!
Apr 26, 2025 · Deb ThompsonThe campground is on the smaller side but it's well maintained. Please note the campground is next to an airport and not far away from trains, so you will hear them. There is a nice playground that is not a far walk from any of the campsites. The trails around the park are on the easier side (even the rugged ones) so they are great for the kiddos to tag along.
Oct 13, 2024 · Steve KatraPretty nice campground, lots of families, they only have one showerhouse in the middle of the property. But overall, nice and clean. Sites have electric only. There's water spigots every few yards. Sits next to a small airport, so if you're looking for total peace and quiet I will avoid it. Lots of walking trails. Some spots are good sized and some are too small. Sites are not well level, make sure you have plenty of leveling blocks.
Jun 24, 2024 · Andrea CBeautiful park. Wonderful staff. The Campground does boarder the Anderson Municipal Airport. You will see and hear plane taking off and landing during the day. There is also a main railroad near by. Neither brother us.
Nov 16, 2021 · Carla HumbleBeautiful, well maintained (just look at those lines!) campground. The trails are well marked and went along the White River and the different mounds. Book early if you want to trailer camp there though, it's popular for good reason!
