Newman Grove City Park Introduce
For local travelers and RV enthusiasts seeking an exceptionally affordable "camping near me" option in Nebraska, Newman Grove City Park, located at 600 Park Ave, Newman Grove, NE 68758, USA, presents an incredible value. With full hookups available for the remarkably low price of $10 per night, this campground, reachable at (402) 447-6444 or +1 402-447-6444, offers a peaceful and convenient stopover or a budget-friendly base for exploring the charming town of Newman Grove and its surroundings. While the RV park itself may lack extensive shade, its adjacency to a well-established city park with mature trees provides a welcoming and shaded environment for relaxation.
According to enthusiastic customer reviews, Newman Grove City Park is indeed "what a bargain!" The highlight for many is the availability of full hookups – typically including water, electricity, and sewer connections – for the incredibly low rate of just $10 per night. In a world where camping costs can often be significant, this price point makes Newman Grove City Park an exceptionally attractive option for budget-conscious travelers, particularly those with RVs requiring full services. This affordability does not seem to compromise the peaceful and quiet location, making it an even more appealing find for those seeking tranquility during their travels.
The campground's location adjacent to the City Park and Golf Course is another significant advantage. While one reviewer notes that the RV park itself "does not have a lot of shade," this is effectively compensated by the immediate proximity to the city park. This park boasts "a lot of shade from enormous old cottonwood trees that were planted at the beginning of the history of this town over a hundred years ago." These mature trees not only provide ample shade for campers looking to escape the sun but also contribute to the aesthetic appeal and historical significance of the location. The reviewer even suggests that the abundance of these trees, planted early in the town's history, is how Newman Grove got its name, hinting at a deep connection between the community and its natural environment.
The adjacency to a golf course offers another potential recreational opportunity for campers who enjoy a round of golf. The convenience of having a golf course within walking distance can be a significant draw for golf enthusiasts looking for a place to stay while pursuing their hobby. The combination of a peaceful camping environment with readily available recreational options makes Newman Grove City Park a versatile choice.
While one reviewer noted the presence of a "city pool," they also mentioned that it was closed for the season during their late September visit. This indicates that for campers visiting during the warmer months, access to a city pool could be a valuable amenity, offering a refreshing way to cool off and enjoy some leisure time. However, it's important to note that the pool's availability is seasonal and likely operates during the summer months.
Beyond the immediate surroundings of the campground and city park, Newman Grove itself offers a range of amenities that add to the convenience of staying at the City Park. According to one reviewer, there are "many amenities including gas stations, restaurants, grocery store, ATM machine, antique stores." This suggests that while the campground might be peaceful and somewhat removed from the main thoroughfare, essential services and conveniences are readily accessible within the town. Whether campers need to refuel their vehicles, stock up on groceries, find a place to eat, or access cash, these amenities are conveniently located. The mention of antique stores also adds a touch of local charm and might appeal to those interested in browsing unique finds.
One reviewer offers a balanced perspective, noting that the campground is "not real easy to get in and out." This is a practical consideration for RVers, as navigating tight spaces or challenging access points can be a concern for larger vehicles. However, this minor inconvenience seems to be outweighed by the significant benefits of the full hookups and the incredibly low price. It's a point worth noting for those with very large or long RVs to be mindful of potential maneuvering challenges.
The overall environment of Newman Grove City Park is characterized by its peaceful and quiet setting. The adjacent city park, with its mature cottonwood trees, provides a shaded and potentially scenic area for walking, picnicking, or simply relaxing in nature. The presence of a golf course suggests open green spaces nearby. While the RV park itself might lack extensive natural shade, the immediate access to a shaded park compensates for this. The town of Newman Grove, while perhaps small, offers essential amenities and a glimpse into a close-knit community.
In terms of services and features, the primary highlight is the availability of full hookups for RVs at an exceptionally low price. This includes connections for water, electricity, and sewer, providing a high level of convenience for RV travelers. While specific amenities within the RV park itself (such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, or dedicated recreational areas within the park) are not mentioned, the proximity to the city park and its potential offerings (like picnic areas or walking paths) adds value. The seasonal availability of the city pool is another amenity to consider for summer visitors.
Promotional information is primarily conveyed through the incredibly low price of $10 per night for full hookups. This is an exceptional value that is likely to attract budget-conscious travelers and those looking for an affordable stopover. The positive reviews emphasizing this bargain serve as strong endorsements. There is no mention of other specific promotions, such as discounts for extended stays or seasonal specials, but the base price is already highly competitive.
To plan a stay at Newman Grove City Park, local users should contact the provided phone numbers to inquire about site availability, reservation policies (if any), and any specific guidelines or regulations for the campground. Given the low price and positive reviews, it's possible that the campground is popular, especially during peak travel seasons. It would also be wise to inquire about the ease of access for different sizes of RVs, considering the comment about it not being "real easy to get in and out."
In conclusion, Newman Grove City Park offers a remarkable "camping near me" opportunity for RV travelers seeking full hookups at an unbeatable price of $10 per night. Its peaceful location adjacent to a shaded city park and a golf course, along with easy access to the amenities of Newman Grove, makes it a convenient and budget-friendly choice for an overnight stop or a longer stay. While the RV park itself may have limited shade, the mature trees in the neighboring city park provide a pleasant environment. Despite a potential challenge with ease of access, the overall value and positive reviews make Newman Grove City Park a hidden gem for cost-conscious campers in Nebraska.

Newman Grove City Park Reviews
What a bargain! Full hook up for $10.00 a night! Peaceful, quiet location adjacent to the City Park and Golf Course. The RV park itself does not have a lot of shade. However the city park has a lot of shade from enormous old cottonwood trees that were planted at the beginning of the history of this town over a hundred years ago. I understand that is how it got the name of Newman Grove. There is a city pool but we were here in Late September and it is closed for the season. If you should stop and stay here there are many amenities including gas stations restaurants, grocery store, ATM machine, antique stores. Newman Grove is a great place to stop for overnight or spend a few days.
