While specific contact information like a phone number is not provided in the available data, the glowing reviews from past visitors offer a compelling glimpse into the environment, features, and welcoming atmosphere of this lakeside campground.
The environment surrounding North Dickey Lake Campground is consistently described as breathtaking. One reviewer fondly recalls childhood memories of the lake, proclaiming it "absolutely the most beautiful lake in Gods' creation," and notes the water's unique blue and green hues that are "hard to explain," emphasizing its rarity and gem-like quality. A more recent visit confirmed that the lake retains its stunning beauty, suggesting a consistently pristine natural setting for campers to enjoy. This focus on the lake's beauty positions North Dickey Lake Campground as a prime destination for those prioritizing a picturesque lakeside camping experience.
A key feature highlighted in the reviews is the excellent lake access directly from the campground. This allows campers to easily enjoy the waters of Dickey Lake for various activities such as swimming, fishing, and potentially boating or kayaking, depending on lake regulations. The convenience of stepping from your campsite to the lake shore is a significant advantage for those seeking a true lakeside camping adventure.
The campground itself is praised for being "clean and well kept," indicating a commitment to maintaining a pleasant and comfortable environment for visitors. This attention to cleanliness contributes to a more enjoyable camping experience, allowing guests to focus on the natural beauty rather than concerns about the upkeep of the facilities. While specific details about the types of campsites (e.g., RV sites with hookups, tent-only areas) and the availability of amenities like restrooms, showers, or picnic areas are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the positive remarks about the campground's maintenance suggest that basic necessities are likely well-cared for.
A significant aspect of the North Dickey Lake Campground experience appears to be the friendly and helpful host, identified as Boots. One reviewer specifically commended Boots for providing "plenty of recommendations about what to do in the surrounding area," highlighting the value of local knowledge in enhancing a camping trip. This suggests that campers can expect a personal touch and assistance in discovering nearby attractions and activities, enriching their overall experience beyond the campground itself.
Another positive feature mentioned is the presence of "some really nice sites here with tent pads." Tent pads are a valuable amenity for tent campers, providing a level and often more durable surface for setting up tents, which can contribute to a more comfortable and dry camping experience, especially in varying weather conditions. This detail indicates that the campground caters to tent campers and prioritizes their comfort.
While the reviews express strong positive sentiments and highlight key features like lake access and a helpful host, they do lack specific information regarding services such as water and electrical hookups for RVs, the availability of restroom and shower facilities, fire pits or picnic tables at individual sites, or the presence of any recreational amenities within the campground itself (besides lake access). Potential local users should be aware that these details are not explicitly covered in the provided feedback.
Similarly, no specific promotional information, such as discounts for local residents, off-season rates, or special packages, is mentioned in the reviews. To obtain such information, it would be necessary to seek out official channels for the North Dickey Lake Campground, such as a website or direct contact if those details become available through further searching. Given the positive reviews and the allure of Dickey Lake, the campground is likely a popular destination, especially during peak camping seasons.
In conclusion, for local individuals and families seeking a beautiful and serene "camping near me" experience centered around a stunning lake, North Dickey Lake Campground in Trego, Montana, appears to be an excellent choice. The pristine beauty of Dickey Lake, the direct and excellent lake access, the clean and well-kept campground environment, and the presence of a friendly and helpful host are significant draws. The availability of nice campsites with tent pads further enhances its appeal for tent campers. While specific details regarding all amenities and potential promotions are not provided in the available reviews, the overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests a memorable and enjoyable camping experience awaits those who choose to visit North Dickey Lake Campground. Making a memory at Dickey Lake, as one reviewer suggests, seems like a highly worthwhile endeavor for local camping enthusiasts.

North Dickey Lake Campground Reviews
Wonderful campground with a very friendly and helpful host. The host, Boots gave us plenty of recommendations about what to do in the surrounding area. There are some really nice sites here with tent pads and great lake access. We can't wait to visit this campground again!
Aug 27, 2020 · Joe JimenezMy family camped here when I was a child. It is absolutely the most beautiful lake in Gods' creation. The water has blue and green hues that is hard to explain. It is a rare gem. A more recent visit to Dicky Lake and I found it is just as beautiful as I remembered as a child. The camp ground is clean and well kept. Lake access is excellent from the camp ground. Make a memory and see Dicky Lake!
Sep 04, 2019 · suzette robertsThese are spots you have to back into. We are about 45ft and we drove the loop twice to find a spot to fit in. In the summer it is busy here. Grassy beach, big boat ramp, WiFi, plenty of pit toilets, lots of shade, lots of picnic spots and lots of people. Only a few spots can be reserved, the rest is walk up and the longest you may stay is about 2 weeks.
