Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" that offers a blend of relaxation by the water and convenient amenities? Consider Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing, situated at 13201 Harlan Lewis Rd, Offutt AFB, NE 68113, USA. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground provides a pleasant environment with access to a lake and clean facilities, making it a noteworthy option for local campers.
The environment at Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing appears to be quite appealing. One reviewer described it as a "great place to hang out by the water or in the shade and relax." This suggests the presence of a lake that offers opportunities for leisurely activities by the water's edge, as well as shaded areas for relaxation. The mention of it being a "great place to get together and play games as well as cook out" indicates an environment conducive to social gatherings and outdoor cooking, making it suitable for families and groups. Another reviewer referred to it as a "great campground on a pretty little lake," further emphasizing the scenic water feature as a central aspect of the campground's charm.
In terms of services, feedback highlights several key aspects. One positive point is the availability of "clean showers and laundry," which are valuable amenities, especially for longer stays or those traveling in RVs. However, one reviewer noted a temporary inconvenience regarding water hookups, stating, "No water hookup available until later in April, but some available to fill your tank." This suggests that while water for filling tanks might be accessible, direct water hookups at campsites might have seasonal limitations. It's advisable to inquire about the status of water hookups when making a reservation, particularly if your camping plans require them. It was also explicitly mentioned that "There is no WiFi if you need it," which is an important consideration for those who rely on internet connectivity during their travels.
A unique feature of Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing is its location on Offutt Air Force Base. One reviewer noted, "You can see the planes landing at the AFB," which might be of interest to aviation enthusiasts. Despite this proximity to air traffic, the reviewer also mentioned, "it's still quiet here," suggesting that the noise level is not overly disruptive to the camping experience. This blend of being on an active military base while maintaining a peaceful atmosphere seems to be a notable characteristic of this campground.
Promotional information isn't explicitly stated in the reviews, but the positive comments serve as recommendations. The recurring themes of relaxation by the water, clean facilities, and a generally quiet environment despite the nearby airbase suggest that Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing offers a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience. The fact that a reviewer stated, "we will definitely return," speaks volumes about their positive impression of the campground.

For local users searching for "camping near me" that offers a lakeside setting with clean amenities, Offutt FamCamp & Eagles Landing appears to be a strong contender. The positive feedback regarding relaxation, the pretty lake, and the cleanliness of facilities suggests a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While the potential temporary limitation on water hookups and the absence of WiFi are points to note, the overall experience seems to be highly regarded by those who have stayed there. Great place to hang out by the water or in the shade and relax. Also great place to get together and play games as well as cook out.
Jun 11, 2018 · Scott MazurGreat campground on a pretty little lake. Clean showers and laundry. No water hookup available until later in April, but some available to fill your tank. That was somewhat inconvenient. You can see the planes landing at the AFB, but it's still quiet here and we will definitely return. There is no WiFi if you need it, however.
Apr 09, 2018 · Shelley PomeroyGreat spot, secluded lake and well kept!
Apr 20, 2017 · Chrissy maceOverall great campground. Could use a few more trees. The camp host of 8 years was amazing!! The showers are a little cramped and need better drainage but are huge and overall better than average. They have no toilets in the tent area so be prepared for a hike unless you are in a self contained unit. I can't wait to bring my 5th wheel here.NOTE: Must be military to camp.
May 24, 2018 · Darin CravenThis is an RV park (and tent) for military families. My husband is retired Army. It's a nice area with a beautiful lake where you can rent a personal boat, non-motorized. There's an archery setup as well as a shooting area, although I believe that is for competition only. It is a couple of miles from downtown Bellevue, NE. There's a couple of nice covered picnic areas as well as a pavilion.
