Painted Rocks State Park Campground Reviews
Nice scenic campground, with access to the lake.
Jul 20, 2020 · Christopher SommerhoffThick camp area, located at the far end of painted rocks, has been a favorite spot of my family's for over 20 years. There are quite a few camper spots and lots of room for tents as well as a bout ramp and dock. This is a pay camp site with a host so it is a bit less wild than it used to be. Perhaps the greatest part of painted rocks camp are the recreation opportunities in the area including ATV trails that range from mild to wild and a very secluded hot springs that is more than 25 miles drive up in the mountains from the lake.
Jul 13, 2020 · Let's watch itGreat place ! Although there was 3-4 feet of snow. So we hiked into the Campground. Friend Ted shoveled out the pit and we bar-b-quest hamburgers and visited. Beautiful Day ! Sunny & Still ***
Apr 03, 2019 · Paula KimbarkBeautiful park, great facilities, and good fishing to boot. This national forest campground is a pleasure everytime we visit and Barry is a great liaison/park host. Wildlife abound and amazing scenery make this a perfect getaway for trail riding, trout fishing, or just getting off grid and enjoying the beautiful bitterroot valley! Highly recommended!
Jun 14, 2019 · Ryan MottGreat place to relax with the family, fish, swim, boating, 4-wheeling, hiking, horse back riding or any other outdoors activity you can think up. Each camp site has a fire pit with grill cover for cooking (recommend a pan and high temp gloves for moving grill and cooking) and a picnic table to eat at. Only some of the camping grounds such as Rombo have electricity hookups and each camping area has at least one restroom/outhouse. Not all spots are for tents some are exclusively for RV camping. Have fun in the sun. If you found this review helpful please leave a like. Thanks for reading.
