Peace River Oaks Reviews
We recently rented 2 glamping tents (#7 & 8) at Peace River Oaks and had an awesome time. The grounds are well laid out and access to everything was close and easy to get to. We traveled with a one and three year old and they especially loved the natural playground. Our 3 year old also really enjoyed Popsicles in the evening from the camp store. The glamping tents were very clean (bathrooms too) and had everything we needed. We fished at the edge of the river behind our tents and caught Gar & catfish and loved watching all the cows gather along the bank in the evening. The hot tub was a big hit and well worth the extra fee (we turned the heat way down and used it like more of a pool). Canoeing was awesome with so much to see and we really appreciated having Dan drive us back to the campground instead of having to paddle back. Overall, it was an amazing family trip and I would highly recommend it to folks of all ages. The only drawback was the water in the tent, which tasted really salty. I'm assuming it's well water so not much can be done about the taste. My suggestion is to bring plenty of bottled water for your trip.
Apr 27, 2025 · Natalie LewisWe stayed at Peace River Oaks RV Park last week, and it was an absolutely magical experience. The entire place is clean, peaceful, and surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that instantly helps you unwind. The RV sites are spacious and thoughtfully laid out, giving you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. One of the highlights for our family was the beautiful nature playground, which includes a zip line, swings, and plenty of space for kids to run around and explore safely. It added so much joy to our stay and made it a great spot for families with children. They also offer kayak rentals, which are perfect for enjoying the scenic Peace River, as well as ATV rentals if you’re in the mood for a little adventure. There’s always something to do!The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking each evening—golden skies reflecting off the trees and river. Most nights, we even got to watch the cows wander out into the field right before sunset, which felt like something out of a movie. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They clearly care about making this place special, and it shows in every detail. We can’t wait to come back!
Apr 22, 2025 · Rusi GreenbaumAn EASY and fun outdoor family getaway spot for a reasonable price. My wife, three children (2-7) and I stayed in a “Glamping Tent” along the Peace River. It had most everything we needed and we were very happy with our stay. The owner and staff were very accommodative and friendly making our time more enjoyable. We spent time hanging at the tent, in the hot tub, fishing, watching the wildlife, and playing at the playground and using the provided yard games. We rented canoes from PRO for a fun little paddle down the river as a whole family. They provided a courtesy shuttle to pick us up from Payne’ Creek State Park kayak launch about an hour or so downstream from the launch. Later, my oldest and I attempted a relatively successful self-guided fossil hunt down the river. We also rented a SXS ATV and we spent turns driving the trails, our kiddos favorite. We took a day trip to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota which we all enjoyed. Then hit the Plant Hotel Museum in Tampa before heading back to our home in NE FL.

All of the little details make this place very special. We enjoyed a peaceful float down the river and did the ATV trails. My kids loved all of the Easter festivities.
