If you want secluded this is it! Went up for the fourth an only had one person there on the day of. And two more the following day. Both left after one night. So pretty much had the spot to ourselves for 4 nights. Drive up is paved till the last hundred yards. One vault toilet. Bring air fresheners. No water to use except the creek. So bring plenty. The two sites on the water are the best. Spot 4 being the tip top spot. Own private drive for it that you can easily block off so people don't drive in. Our site had one picnic table, and a few logs for chopping wood on. Site 3 has two huge tables but is in the sun most of the day in July.Bugs weren't terrible. Little black things came out at night. But besides that if you keep your food shut and clean up no issues with bugs. One bar for TMobile out in the woods. No service for at&tShooting up the road on side trails from the shells we seen hiking. Plus, there are a few off grid spots farther up the road!! Just gotta pick a road and goo all the way to the end trust me!Hiking around the road up, along with other sites like 8 mile and 15 mile campground. The forest ranger is on point out there. So pay your camp fees.Leave your extra wood and clean up after yourselves! - curtis reinholdt

Looking for a truly secluded "camping near me" experience? Pebble Ford Campground, located in Dufur, Oregon (97021, USA), might be the perfect destination for you. Based on recent customer reviews, this small campground offers a unique opportunity for peace and quiet, often with very few other campers around. If you value solitude and a more primitive camping experience, Pebble Ford Campground could be your next great escape.

The environment at Pebble Ford Campground is described as beautiful and offers a sense of being truly away from it all. Reviewers highlight the potential for a secluded experience, with one visitor noting they were the only camper for several nights, even over the Fourth of July. This suggests a less crowded and more intimate connection with nature. The presence of a creek indicates a natural water source, although it's important to note that this is the only water available, so campers need to bring their own potable water for drinking and other needs.

In terms of services and features, Pebble Ford Campground offers a more rustic experience. There is a single vault toilet available. One reviewer mentioned it was "pretty nice," but also suggested bringing air fresheners. There is no running water at the campground, so campers must be self-sufficient in this regard. Some campsites have picnic tables and a few logs that can be used for chopping wood. Specifically, site 3 is noted to have two large tables but is sunny in July, while site 4 is highlighted as the "tip top spot," possibly due to its location and a private drive that can be blocked off for added seclusion. You will also need to carry out all of your trash, emphasizing a "leave no trace" approach.

One of the appealing features of Pebble Ford Campground is its potential for hiking. The road leading up to the campground and surrounding side trails offer opportunities for exploration. One reviewer mentioned seeing shooting evidence on side trails, suggesting these areas might be used for recreational shooting, something to be aware of. Additionally, hiking a little further up the road from the campground rewards visitors with a "great territorial view of the surrounding area." The campground is also located near other camping areas like 8 Mile and 15 Mile Campground, suggesting a broader region popular for outdoor recreation. It's worth noting that a forest ranger patrols the area, so it's essential to pay your camping fees.

Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided. However, the strong emphasis on seclusion and the natural beauty of the area serves as an inherent draw for those seeking a quieter "camping near me" experience. The potential for having the entire campground to yourself, as mentioned in the reviews, is a unique selling point for those prioritizing solitude.

For local users in the Dufur, Oregon area or those willing to travel a short distance for a secluded camping trip, Pebble Ford Campground presents an attractive option. The reviews suggest that while it's a smaller, more primitive campground, the reward is peace, quiet, and natural beauty. The lack of crowds seems to be a significant advantage for many visitors.

It's important to be prepared for a more self-sufficient camping experience at Pebble Ford Campground. Remember to bring plenty of water, be prepared to pack out all your trash, and consider bringing air fresheners for the vault toilet. However, if you are looking to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in a natural setting with opportunities for hiking and enjoying territorial views, Pebble Ford Campground could be an excellent choice.

One reviewer mentioned that bugs weren't terrible, with only small black bugs appearing at night. They advised keeping food shut and cleaning up to avoid any issues. This is typical advice for any camping trip, and it's good to know that major bug problems weren't highlighted in the reviews.

Connectivity might be a concern for some, as one reviewer noted only one bar of T-Mobile service in the woods and no service for AT&T. If staying connected is crucial, this is something to consider. However, for those looking to disconnect and enjoy the natural surroundings, limited cell service might be seen as a benefit.

In summary, Pebble Ford Campground offers a unique "camping near me" experience for those seeking seclusion and a connection with nature in the Dufur, Oregon area. Its small size often translates to fewer crowds, allowing for a peaceful retreat. The beautiful environment, coupled with opportunities for hiking and territorial views, makes it a worthwhile destination for campers who are comfortable with a more primitive setup. Just remember to bring your own water, pack out your trash, and be prepared for limited amenities. If solitude and natural beauty are high on your list, consider giving Pebble Ford Campground a visit.
