Eightmile Campground Reviews
Beautiful hike for flowers, birding, views in July. Shared with mountain bikers, but not crowded weekdays.
Jul 23, 2024 · Mary HaydenNice and quiet. Lots of shade and privacy between sites. Running stream through camp. Nice trail down to lower 8mile. VERY clean and unsmelly toilet! Crows were a little disturbing. Good for cycling/hiking etc. For cellphone calls go up to the snow park parking lot. Fire grates work fine.
Jun 30, 2024 · Alex FoxThis is a very relaxing campground.Good place to go to relax away from city life. Its so safe the kiddos were able to run around from site 1 to the hosts camp and back without having to worry. The hosts are very friendly. This is a great campground.
Jul 20, 2020 · palmer family adventuresAlso called "Eightmile Crossing." An excellent little 19-site campground. Sites are nicely spaced, mostly along Eightmile Creek, for good whitenoise. Very little light pollution, so you'll see a lot of stars, but also very wooded, so views are constrained. A particularly friendly doe may make an appearance—regular campers mentioned her visiting them last year as well. Clean toilets, no piped water. If there are no spots here, try Pebble Ford nearby. The confusingly named "Eightmile Loop Trail" is a 6.2 mile long hike/bike trail that begins/ends at the day use area of the campsite.
