Plumtree Campground and Retreat Reviews
Such hospitality and cleanliness. My family tent camped for 3 nights and had another family join us. The campground was clean and tidy and the camp store had everything in case you forget something at home with pricing that would be the same (or less) than you would find in most stores. This was our first time camping as a family and are so glad we chose this campground. We were greeted by the grounds host and he gave our son some fish food to feed the trout. Everyone was so kind which just added to our stay. The bath house was spotless and warm when it was cold outside. We will definitely be back.
Apr 22, 2025 · Angela VieuxWhile we didn’t visit this beautiful campground to camp, we loved our visit enough to share. The campground host/owner Mark was so pleasant and generous. Great conversations to be had with him, he’s so friendly. The bathhouse was beautiful and clean, well lit and heated. Towels and individual care packages were available. The showers themselves are private with a changing room via the curtain and looks new. It honestly looks newly built it was so nice and fresh. We are coming back to camp!
Jan 23, 2025 · Ambry VMy husband and I have been blessed to have found this hidden gem of a campground. We have felt like family since the first time we spoke to the owner and met the grounds manager. We called around and toured other locations and none were as fitting or as serene as Plumtree. You won’t be disappointed when you stay here and the amenities are wonderful. The location is just perfect where you can get away from it all or you can short drive into Banner Elk or Sprue Pine.
Mar 02, 2025 · Sara BenishWonderful campground and even more wonderful owners and staff! Our stay in the Coop Cabin was so relaxing. Especially when it rained and we could sit on the porch listening to it hit the tin room. Jenifer, Jed and Jimmy were so pleasant, nice and helpful. The location was perfect because it was peaceful and out of the way, just like we like it. The camp store was fun, local snacks delicious (especially the peanut butter fudge) and the free coffee a definite perk (pun intended). This is definitely a place we will be back to.
Sep 27, 2024 · Vickie VaughnJust stayed at Plumtree Campground after Hurricane Helene caused damage to surrounding areas. The campground is OPEN and in great shape. The people are wonderful. They even have a shop with super cool swag! The autumn leaves were still gorgeous, even after the hurricane. I'm a repeat visitor and can't wait to return to return again.
