Quail Circle RV Campground Introduce
For local residents seeking "camping near me" in the Broken Bow, Oklahoma area, Quail Circle RV Campground, located at 810, Broken Bow, OK 74728, USA, offers a smaller, more basic RV camping option. Based on recent customer reviews, it presents a manageable but somewhat limited experience, particularly for larger RVs. Prospective local users should carefully consider the site configurations and available amenities before choosing this campground for their "camping near me" needs.
The environment at Quail Circle RV Campground is heavily wooded with pine trees, which provides ample shade and a natural camping feel. However, as noted by a reviewer, this also means campers should expect some sap and pine needles on their vehicles. The campground itself consists of a main paved loop, but the pavement is reported to be in poor condition. Within Quail Circle, there are only 12 sites, all of which are reverse-in, meaning pull-through sites are not available. The sites are described as gravel pads with approximately 10-20 feet of space between them. While not directly on the lake, lake access with a boat ramp is available within a short distance (a 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk), which could be a significant draw for those interested in boating and lake activities.
The services at Quail Circle RV Campground are somewhat basic. Each of the 12 sites in Quail Circle offers electric (30A as per one review, though another mentions 20 and 30 amp service being available elsewhere in the campground, suggesting potential variability or older sites) and water hookups. Each site also includes a steel BBQ grill and a concrete picnic table for campers' use. Fire pits are present, with most sites having either a steel fire ring or makeshift stone fire pits, although some were described as "nearly unrecognizable," indicating potential disrepair. One significant limitation is the lack of an RV dump station within Quail Circle itself; however, a dump station is conveniently located across the street at the Turkey campground. Restroom facilities are mentioned at the entrance of Quail Circle, but one reviewer noted they were locked during their visit, while another reported them being open with hot water for showers. This inconsistency suggests potential variability in the availability or maintenance of these facilities. Cell phone reception appears to be limited, with one reviewer reporting no AT&T service and only occasional 3G service (no LTE) on Verizon.
The features of Quail Circle RV Campground are somewhat constrained by its size and layout. The small number of sites (12) in the circle means availability could be limited, especially during peak seasons. The reverse-in only configuration and the barely sufficient length for tandem-axle pull-behind campers, as well as the tight turn at one end of the paved loop, could pose challenges for larger RVs and Class A motorhomes. One reviewer with a 34-foot bumper pull reported having to back down a significant portion of the circle to get into their site and expressed concern about fitting into a site on the curve. The proximity to lake access (boat ramp) is a notable feature for those planning to enjoy Broken Bow Lake. The wooded environment provides shade but also the potential for sap and pine needles. The presence of a BBQ grill and picnic table at each site adds convenience for outdoor cooking and dining.
Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not contain any specific details about discounts, special offers, or loyalty programs at Quail Circle RV Campground. For local users interested in staying here, it would be advisable to:
- Contact the campground directly (phone number not provided in the text, but likely available through online search or booking platforms) to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for local residents or off-season stays.
- Ask about the specific amperage of the electric hookups at the site you are interested in, especially if you have specific power requirements for your RV.
- Confirm the current status and accessibility of the restroom facilities, as there seems to be conflicting information in the reviews.
- Inquire about any specific rules or recommendations for navigating the campground with larger RVs, given the reported tight turn.
- Check if reservations are required or recommended, especially during peak times.
In conclusion, Quail Circle RV Campground offers a smaller, more basic "camping near me" option in the Broken Bow area, characterized by a wooded environment and proximity to lake access. While it provides essential hookups (water and electric) and basic amenities like a grill and picnic table at each of its 12 reverse-in sites, potential local users should be aware of its limitations. The tight turning radius on the paved loop and the barely sufficient site lengths for some larger trailers could pose challenges. The availability and condition of restrooms appear to be inconsistent based on the reviews. While a dump station is available nearby at the Turkey campground, it is not within Quail Circle. For those with smaller RVs or those primarily seeking a budget-friendly base with lake access, Quail Circle might be manageable. However, it is crucial to gather current information about the facilities and site specifics directly from the campground before making a reservation to ensure it meets your "camping near me" needs and expectations.

Quail Circle RV Campground Reviews
Not a bad little RV campground but could use some improvement. In Quail Circle there are a total of 12 sites, each of which are reverse-in (no pull-thru available) and each is just barely long enough for tandem-axle pull-behind campers. The sites are gravel pads with around 10-20' between them. Each has electric (30A) and water hookups and contain a steel BBQ grill and concrete picnic table. Most sites had either a steel fire ring or make-shift stone fire pits but many were nearly unrecognizable. The area is heavily wooded with pine trees so expect some sap and pine needles on your vehicle. The main loop around the campground is paved but the pavement is in poor condition and there is a rather tight turn at one end which could be difficult for larger/longer trailers and class-A motorhomes. There were bathrooms at the entrance of this campground but they were locked when we visited. There is no RV dump station in this campground but there is one just across the street in the Turkey campground. ATT did not have any cell phone reception during our stay here but our Verizon phones did get occasional 3G service (no LTE). While not visible from the campground, there is lake access (with boat ramp) a short distance away (2-min drive, 10-min walk).
Jan 04, 2021 · Stretch DigginzOlder camp sites but manageable. 20 and 30 amp with water. Sites are about 20 yes apart, however, this circle was tight for a 34 ft. bumper pool. I had to back down 1/4 of the circle into my site. If I had a different site in the curve, probably would not have made it. Bathrooms were open and had hot water for showers. Much better than across the street at Turkey circle. Turkey has sewer hook ups but bad camp site. All fire pits are in the inner circle, no privacy.
Nov 22, 2021 · Josh GrishamIt was a nice spot. My only 2 complaints were no sewer hookup and the pad at spot 3 was almost impossible to get level. The left side was about 9 inches higher than the right side which necessitated several of the leveling pads to get even left to right. The front was on a downslope and even with the leg fully extended, a concrete block and several leveling pads, we still slept with the camper leaning forward. This also made it very shaky.Otherwise, it was nice. We wound up going across the street to Turkey and finding an empty site to dump our tanks a couple times during the stay.
Jun 22, 2022 · Brian DudleyA great area. This camping spot is small. I think there are only 12 spots here. I hope they do a little remodel soon. The roads need work and other parts of the park have brand new bathrooms. This could do with the same treatment.
Oct 23, 2023 · Nick LyonBad road, looming trees on tight curves you can see were struck multiple times, no sewer and no dump station, tiny spots that are horribly uneven, broken table. Not any flat area to hang outside so we used Christmas lights way out and used a solo stove for fire since fire ring was impossible to use on a washed out area. First time I haven't taken a picture of a site cause it was that bad
