Rice Creek Campgrounds Reviews
I am not sure why the bad reviews. We stayed here with our 43’ 5th wheel and had a great overnight stay. The staff were super friendly and the sites were large, quiet, with no immediate neighbours. We had water and hydro and the dump was easy to access on your way out. We saw a turtle laying eggs and managed to get some great video. It was a short walk to the lake but there is a LOT of rules for their beach although I am sure they are there for a reason. No food/drinks, no inflatables, no pets etc)
Jun 24, 2023 · Sheri LucasGreat place to stay when in the area. We made reservations several months before we went, then kept telling ourselves we left on Thursday. We were actually supposed to leave Wednesday. Guess we were so excited to be there, didn’t pay attention to the reservation. We left for the day, they called us for explanation and without any problem, extended our stay another day. Thank you so much for accommodating us, guess we should pay more attention to our reservation in the future. Will definitely be back another time to stay when visiting family.PS, also loved the site, playground, beach, and all areas of the campground!
Aug 21, 2024 · Kathy TumblesonWe had Deer come through our campsite. What a peaceful place to stay. We will definitely be back when we can stay longer. Taking a walk on the entrance road during the construction was reminiscent of Hazzard County with the Duke boys straightening the curves and flattening the hills. “Friends and neighbors, traffic moves fast ‘round these parts.”
Jul 02, 2024 · Paul McMurphyGreat weekender campground. They have water and power spaces for campers and rustic spaces for tent camping, great fire rings with built in grilles. Very reasonable prices, vehicle permit camping and firewood came to about 32 a night. very close to the metro area but off the beaten path enough for that wilderness feel. Tons of bike paths, bring your bike to get the most of the places. Real nice showers and multiple playgrounds for entertaining the kiddos and cleaning up. Showers do not cost anything more just need to take turns when busy. We never had to wait though. Beach is excellent lake is clean and there is a boat ramp. Bring your water toys. Trust me being a native of the twin cities, you can drive farther and do worse.
Aug 23, 2020 · David Thomas-JensenI have been going for years to this camp ground. It's a nice little getaway if you live in the cities. Fishing spots all over, a few bait shops in the area. Customer service has always been pleasant in the town. The little area for the camping spots are just right. They have a lake that is walking distance from the camp grounds, they even have a shower building, group camping, and RV camping as well. A nice little gem of a campground to escape to, even for just a day/night. Note: most places require masks.
