Rivers Edge Group Campground, located at Rivers Edge Group Site Rd, Morgan, UT 84050, USA, offers just that. Based on customer reviews, this campground provides a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, clean amenities, and fantastic access to water activities, making it an ideal choice for individuals, families, and groups seeking a memorable outdoor getaway in the Morgan, Utah area.
The environment surrounding Rivers Edge Group Campground appears to be a significant draw for visitors. Its name suggests a location near a river, which often implies scenic beauty and opportunities for water-related activities. One reviewer specifically highlighted it as a "fantastic place for SUP boarding" and praised its suitability for kayaking and allowing dogs to swim. This indicates that the campground offers access to a body of water, likely a reservoir, that is conducive to various water sports and is also pet-friendly. For local users searching for "camping near me" with opportunities for enjoying lake days with kayaks, SUP boards, and even their Labrador companions, Rivers Edge Group Campground seems to be an exceptional option. The presence of a river or reservoir often enhances the camping experience by providing opportunities for fishing, swimming (where permitted), and simply enjoying the peaceful presence of water.
Rivers Edge Group Campground stands out for its exceptional customer service and the quality of its facilities. Multiple reviews mention the warm welcome received, starting from the initial phone call, and commend the staff for being "super sweet" and making guests feel at home. This emphasis on hospitality can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, especially for those looking for a friendly and supportive environment when searching for "camping near me."
In terms of amenities, Rivers Edge Group Campground offers a range of features designed for comfort and convenience. For tent campers who may not require hookups, the campground provides clean bathrooms and, notably, free showers. This is a significant perk, as many campgrounds charge for shower usage. The presence of a clean laundry room on-site is another valuable amenity, especially for longer stays or for those who enjoy water activities and may need to dry clothes. This laundry facility is conveniently located within a "big beautiful ‘Rec center’," which also houses games and a pool table, providing additional entertainment options for guests of all ages. When searching for "camping near me" with practical amenities like laundry and recreational facilities, Rivers Edge Group Campground offers considerable value.
Connectivity is also a key feature at Rivers Edge Group Campground, as reviewers have noted that the WiFi was strong and worked perfectly. In today's connected world, reliable internet access can be essential for staying in touch, planning activities, or even working remotely while enjoying a camping trip. The availability of strong WiFi adds another layer of convenience for those considering this "camping near me" location.
While the name includes "Group Campground," indicating its suitability for larger groups, it also welcomes individual campers and families, as evidenced by the positive reviews from a family and a solo traveler. This suggests that Rivers Edge Group Campground can cater to a diverse range of camping needs. However, specific details about the layout of campsites, whether they are primarily group-oriented or if there are also individual or family sites, would require direct inquiry with the campground.
One reviewer mentioned a $15 per car day-use fee, noting it was the most they had ever paid for single-day use. While this might seem like a drawback, the reviewer also speculated that this fee might contribute to the campground being less crowded compared to other options. For local users seeking a less congested "camping near me" experience, the slightly higher day-use fee (if applicable to campers as well) might be a worthwhile trade-off for a more peaceful and enjoyable environment. It's important to clarify with the campground whether this day-use fee applies to overnight campers or is separate for day visitors using the recreational facilities.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. However, it is always advisable for local users interested in "camping near me" to inquire about any potential discounts for local residents, off-season rates, or group booking specials, especially given that it is a "Group Campground." Contacting Rivers Edge Group Campground directly at (801) 829-6866 or +1 801-829-6866 would be the best way to obtain information about current pricing, availability, and any ongoing promotions that could enhance the value of your camping experience.
In conclusion, Rivers Edge Group Campground in Morgan, Utah, appears to be a welcoming and well-equipped destination for those searching for "camping near me." Its friendly staff, clean facilities including free showers and a laundry room in a rec center, strong WiFi, and fantastic access to water activities like SUP boarding and kayaking make it a standout choice. While a day-use fee was mentioned, it might contribute to a less crowded environment. Whether you're planning a solo trip, a family adventure, or a group outing, Rivers Edge Group Campground offers a compelling combination of amenities and recreational opportunities for a memorable camping experience. Rivers Edge Group Campground Reviews
Such a warm welcome from the first phone call! The staff were all super sweet and made us feel at home.We just needed a “tent” spot and required no electricity etc. Their bathrooms were clean and showers were free. They also have a clean laundry room on site that is located in a big beautiful “Rec center” with games, pool table etc! WiFi was strong and worked perfectly. We absolutely would stay again
Oct 02, 2019 · AnnaFantastic place for SUP boarding! As a family, we love Lake days but it has been hard finding a good reservoir to play on our kayaks and SUP boards with our Labrador's being able to be Labrador's and swim. I'd highly recommend this place for that reason. The only reason I have four stars is because $15/car is the most we've ever had to pay for a single day use, (but I bet that's why it wasn't nearly as crowded as our other options.)
Jul 10, 2019 · Taylor Workman-JamesWe reserve all three places for our family reunion. It was beautiful! My only complaint which is a major complaint, they were doing some 5k or some sort of marathon and at 4:30am there were kids literally right next to our site, yelling at the top of their lungs "water!" And "raaaaaaaaaaaaa!" While play extremely loud music. This was the absolute WORST. How they let this happen I have no idea. It was the most inconsiderate and worst sleep I have EVER had. I hope the event coordinator reads this. As a military man, I don't think I have ever been so disrespected to my face. Upon asking them to stop at about 5:30am, this still continued until 7am where they all packed up and floored their little piece of crap jeep and took off. I do not recommend spending money to camp here at all. Even if it was free, I would question whether or not to go there again. No consideration for others and extremely selfish. If you want to punish yourself by running at night and letting your people in the event treat people so wrongful, I have no sympathy for them and will not pay them any money to be treated like that again. I will tell all of my friends and family what happened and let the word of mouth spread about East Canyon and Rivers' edge campground.
Sep 07, 2024 · JayThe campsite we stayed at was full of thistles, squirrel holes, and there was a pond right in the middle of it; set up tent on the roundabout hill instead. Got very cold at night. River was fun, though.
Jun 24, 2023 · AdamAwesome trails nearby, lots of lake area, restrooms are adequate. I enjoyed my stay here.
