Riverview Park Campground Introduce
For local residents in Kentucky and the surrounding areas searching for "camping near me," Riverview Park Campground in Marion, KY, offers an exceptional and highly recommended camping experience. Located at a picturesque address in Marion, KY 42064, this campground has garnered rave reviews from visitors, with one enthusiastic camper stating they would rate it "more than 5 stars" if possible and expressing a strong desire to return. This positive feedback highlights the appeal and quality of Riverview Park Campground for those seeking a memorable outdoor getaway close to home.
One of the standout features of Riverview Park Campground is its "majestic" view. Situated alongside a river, the campground provides campers with stunning waterfront scenery. Guests can enjoy watching the passage of numerous barges, adding a unique and interesting element to the view. Even in the colder months of January, the river attracts anglers, indicating its year-round appeal and the potential for fishing activities for local users who enjoy angling.
Planning your stay at Riverview Park Campground appears to be a straightforward process, even if the initial navigation of the reservation website presents a minor challenge. One reviewer noted having "a little trouble navigating the reservation website" but praised the excellent customer service received when calling the campground directly. A "very nice lady" provided assistance and guided them through the process, suggesting that the staff at Riverview Park Campground are friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth booking experience for local campers.
For families and those looking for recreational amenities, Riverview Park Campground offers a "nice picnic area and playground." These facilities provide dedicated spaces for outdoor meals, relaxation, and children's play, making the campground an attractive option for family camping trips and local residents seeking a day out with recreational opportunities.
While the campground offers a generally well-maintained environment, one reviewer noted that "the drive/road around the campsites was a little tight." However, they also mentioned successfully navigating the area with a substantial 38' RV rig and a small towed vehicle "without curbing," indicating that while maneuvering may require some care, it is manageable even for larger vehicles. This is important information for local RV owners considering a stay at Riverview Park Campground.
In terms of essential services, Riverview Park Campground excels. The electrical, water, and sewer connections are reported to have "all worked flawlessly," providing reliable and convenient hookups for RV campers. While one reviewer did not use the restrooms, the functionality of the essential utilities suggests a well-maintained infrastructure. A minor issue noted was "quite a bit of broken glass/dishes on the boat ramp," indicating a need for occasional cleanup in that specific area. However, the reviewer also stated that "other than that, the park was very well kept," suggesting that the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the campground are high.
Connectivity is another important consideration for many campers, and Riverview Park Campground appears to offer adequate cell signal, with one user reporting good reception with AT&T. This allows local campers to stay connected if needed while still enjoying the natural surroundings.
A significant piece of advice from a reviewer concerns navigation to the campground, particularly for those arriving in larger RVs. Google Maps reportedly provided a problematic route "from Evansville on some little back road (Cotton Patch) that was literally impassable" for a 38' rig due to tight turns and steep banks. This resulted in a "kinda scary" experience and the need to unload a towed vehicle to turn around. The reviewer strongly recommends that those arriving in full-sized rigs should "be sure to come in via Hwy 91 and Road 387!" as they encountered no issues with this route. This crucial local knowledge can save other campers significant stress and time.
Overall, Riverview Park Campground is described as a "nice peaceful place," ideal for local users seeking a tranquil camping experience. A minor suggestion for improvement was that "little litter pick up seems in order though," indicating that while generally well-maintained, occasional attention to litter could further enhance the park's appeal.
Considering the overwhelmingly positive feedback, the scenic river views, the availability of full RV hookups, the presence of a picnic area and playground, and the helpful staff, Riverview Park Campground stands out as an excellent choice for "camping near me" in the Marion, KY area. While specific promotional information was not included in the provided reviews, the consistently high ratings and positive experiences shared by visitors serve as a strong endorsement. Local campers are encouraged to contact the campground directly to inquire about any seasonal offers, availability, and to confirm the recommended route for arrival, especially for larger vehicles. Riverview Park Campground promises a memorable and enjoyable camping experience along the riverfront for local adventurers and families alike.

Riverview Park Campground Reviews
If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would! We absolutely loved staying here! We did not want to leave, and will be returning. The view is majestic. Many barges went through, as well as a few (brave in January 🥶) anglers.I had a little trouble navigating the reservation website, but I called and a very nice lady walked me through it.The picnic area and playground were nice. The drive/road around the campsites was a little tight, but we managed (without curbing) with a 38' rig and a small toad. The electrical, water, and sewer connections all worked flawlessly. (We did not go into the restrooms.) There was a quite a bit of broken glass/dishes on the boat ramp, but other than that, the park was very well kept. (Why do people do that?!) We had adequate cell signal (AT&T).The only real problem we had was with GOOGLE MAPS. It routed us to come in from Evansville on some little back road (Cotton Patch) that was literally impassable for our rig. The turns and steep banks were too much. We had to unload our toad to get turned around, and it was kinda scary! If you come to this little bit of paradise in a full-sized rig, be sure to come in via Hwy 91 and Road 387! We had no problems with that route.
