The environment of Rolling View Campground Loop C is a significant draw, with one reviewer highlighting that the location is "right near the lake." This proximity offers potential benefits, especially during warmer months, allowing campers to easily access and enjoy the recreational opportunities provided by Falls Lake. These could include activities such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the waterfront views. The beautiful natural setting of Falls Lake, known for its expansive waters and surrounding woodlands, contributes to a relaxing and scenic camping environment. However, it's important to note a couple of environmental factors mentioned in the reviews. The campground is "a little close to the RDU airport," which means that campers may occasionally hear airplanes flying overhead. Additionally, there is a shooting range nearby, and the sound of gunfire was noted on a Saturday morning, although it did not persist throughout the day. These are factors that potential campers might want to consider based on their sensitivity to noise.
In terms of services, Rolling View Campground Loop C appears to offer well-maintained facilities. One reviewer specifically praised the bathhouse, noting that it was "heated" and had "plenty of hot water," which is particularly appreciated during cooler months, as the reviewer stayed in early November. The bathhouse is equipped with "several shower stalls and multiple toilets on each side (men and women)," indicating that there are ample facilities to accommodate campers. The campsites themselves are described as "nice and maintained," suggesting that the grounds are kept in good order. Essential campsite amenities include "fire pits" and a "table," providing campers with the means for campfires and outdoor dining. Water hookups are also mentioned as being available at the campsites. While one reviewer noted that "there doesn't seem to be well defined tent pads," they found the "fine crush and run gravel" on their site (campsite 8) to be adequate. This suggests that tent campers might need to choose their exact setup spot carefully within the provided area.
The features of Rolling View Campground Loop C are enhanced by its location near Falls Lake, offering opportunities for lake-related activities. The presence of well-maintained campsites, fire pits, and tables contributes to a comfortable camping experience. The availability of heated bathhouses with hot showers is a notable feature, especially for camping during the shoulder seasons or colder periods. The positive feedback from an RV Club, "Triangle RV ers of NC," who had a "wonderful time" and plan to return, underscores the campground's suitability for RV campers as well. Their mention of the campground being "very clean" and the staff being "nice people to talk with" adds to the positive aspects of the location. The convenience of being "a place real close to home" is also highlighted as a significant benefit for local users seeking a quick and easy escape.

While potential noise from the nearby airport and shooting range are factors to be aware of, the overall positive feedback suggests that these are often manageable and do not detract significantly from the camping experience for many visitors.

Rolling View Campground Loop C Reviews
My family stayed in Loop C this weekend. We were in campsite 8. We really enjoyed the location. It's right near the lake, so in warm weather you can definitely take advantage of it. It's a little close to the RDU airport, so you do hear airplanes occasionally flying over. There is also a shooting range nearby. We heard the gun range some on Saturday morning, but it didn't last all day. The facilities were nice. We went in early November. It was nice to see that they have plenty of hot water and the bath house is heated. There are several shower stalls and multiple toilets on each side (men and women). The campsites were nice and maintained. There doesn't seem to be well defined tent pads, but we made due on the fine crush and run gravel in our site. I would recommend checking it out!
Nov 11, 2018 · Trey EthridgeOur RV Club Triangle RV ers of NC. Had a wonderful time at the campground last year and we are planning to come back this April 2021,very clean, nice people to talk with. Just getting out of the house and coming to a place real close to home is great. Everyone enjoy life..
Mar 15, 2021 · Ron AGreat place to spend quality time with the family. This particular campground was very peaceful with a rolling hill, wooded terrain. The lake shore is more rocky, so there is a danger for snakes and it's a little hard to find a spot to fish from the shore. Once we found spot, we were catching fish left and right... mostly catfish. Tip, best to bottom fish here or set the bobber high so as to get the bait deeper. I didn't try artificial, so give that a shot as well.
