Sauk Park Campground Introduce
Looking for an affordable and peaceful camping experience within the "camping near me" category in Washington State? Sauk Park Campground, located in Concrete, WA 98237, USA, presents itself as a budget-friendly option for local users seeking a convenient escape into nature. With contact numbers (360) 853-8808 and +1 360-853-8808 provided, this campground appears to offer a straightforward and accessible camping experience based on recent customer feedback.
The environment at Sauk Park Campground is consistently described as both quiet and clean, which are significant positives for many campers. One reviewer specifically mentioned getting a "nice quiet spot away from everyone," indicating the potential for a secluded and tranquil stay. The emphasis on cleanliness, with the campground being "not full of garbage," suggests a well-maintained environment where visitors can enjoy the natural surroundings without the unpleasantness of litter. The presence of a ranger driving through the area a few times also implies a level of oversight and security, which can contribute to a more comfortable and safe camping experience for local users.
In terms of services and features, Sauk Park Campground offers several basic yet essential amenities. Reviews mention the presence of picnic tables and fire pits near most sites, which are standard and highly valued features for outdoor cooking and enjoying campfires. The availability of portable potties nearby all sites addresses the fundamental need for restroom facilities. One reviewer noted that while their specific site didn't have a designated table or fire ring, a previous camper had thoughtfully created a rock ring and a bench, highlighting the potential for some sites to have these features, either formally or informally. It's worth noting that the campground does not provide water, so campers must bring their own supply for drinking, cooking, and washing.
The location of Sauk Park Campground near a river offers the potential for water-related activities. However, one review points out that there is only "one good river access trail and it's a bit steep." This is an important consideration for local users planning to utilize the river for recreation. The steepness of the trail might make access challenging for some individuals, and the limited number of good access points suggests that it might become congested during peak times. Campers should exercise caution when using the river access trail and be aware of their physical limitations.
One of the most appealing features of Sauk Park Campground, particularly for budget-conscious local users searching within the "camping near me" category, is its affordability. Reviewers mention incredibly low nightly rates of $15 and $10, making it an exceptionally economical option for a getaway. This reasonable pricing, combined with the positive feedback regarding cleanliness and quietness, makes Sauk Park Campground a potentially excellent value for money.
Based on the customer reviews, Sauk Park Campground seems to cater to individuals and small groups looking for a simple and peaceful camping experience without the need for extensive amenities. The emphasis on a quiet environment suggests it might not be the ideal location for large, boisterous groups. The lack of provided water underscores the importance of self-sufficiency for campers. However, the presence of picnic tables, fire pits, and nearby portable potties covers the basic necessities for a comfortable overnight stay.
Promotional information is not explicitly stated in the reviews. However, the low nightly rates ($10-$15) serve as a significant promotional aspect, especially for local users seeking budget-friendly camping options. The positive feedback regarding the quiet and clean environment, coupled with the presence of basic amenities, further enhances its appeal. The proximity to a river, despite the limited and steep access, could also be considered a promotional point for those interested in riverside camping. Highlighting the value for money and the tranquil atmosphere would likely attract local campers looking for an affordable and relaxing escape.
For local users considering Sauk Park Campground, it's advisable to be prepared for a more rustic experience. Bringing an adequate supply of water is essential. If a picnic table or designated fire ring is crucial for your campsite, it might be worth inquiring when making a booking (if reservations are possible) or upon arrival about site availability. The steep river access trail should be taken into account for those planning to engage in activities along the river. However, for those prioritizing a quiet, clean, and affordable camping option with basic amenities, Sauk Park Campground appears to be a great choice within the "camping near me" category.
In summary, Sauk Park Campground near Concrete, WA, offers local users an attractive option for an affordable and peaceful camping getaway. Its clean and quiet environment, coupled with basic amenities like picnic tables, fire pits, and nearby portable potties, provides a comfortable base for exploring the surrounding nature. The incredibly reasonable nightly rates of $10-$15 make it a standout for budget-conscious campers. While the lack of provided water and the limited, steep river access are important considerations, the overall positive feedback suggests that Sauk Park Campground provides excellent value and a tranquil camping experience for those seeking a simple and nature-focused retreat in Washington State.

Sauk Park Campground Reviews
Stayed one night. Got a nice quiet spot away from everyone. And it was clean and not full of garbage. Porta potty was clean and saw the ranger drive through a few times. My site didn't have a table or specific fire ring, but someone had made a nice rock ring an a bench by it . Was A great stay. And only 15$ a night.
Jun 10, 2024 · Angie RichterI love this site. perfect little get away and not too far away. Also reasonably priced at just 10$ per night. the sites are well kept. picnic tables, fire pit and portable potty places nearby all sites. They do not have water and there's only one good river access trail and it's a bit steep. overall a great place to go camp.
Jun 05, 2023 · Krystal VanwinkleThere is a beautiful creek that is right on the edge of one of the campsites, it's amazing!
Nov 19, 2023 · Kiona SniderMay 11-12, 2024. Nice place although there are no rangers or cops that patrol. Drunken neighbors were up until 3 am and their generator ran until then too. There is was only 1 porta potty to service the whole campsite. $15 per night, no water but several garbage cans.
May 14, 2024 · Ric MerryAI have stayed several times over the years. Mixed bag. Sometimes it was marvelous, quiet and uncrowded. But summers not fun. Noisy people, undisciplined kids yelling late and cutting thru my site. 4th of July weekend forget it! People doing fires and fireworks when there's big signs right at the entrance against it.The sites are fine, first come first serve. Last time I went up someone parked their trailer two days before anyone ever came up. But I guess for $10/night people will do that and the County really doesn't care as long as they're making money.
