Shellmound Campground Reviews
We LOVED staying at Shellmound Campground! We only stayed overnight & left out the next afternoon. Check-out wasn't until 3 which was nice not to feel rushed. They don't do online booking or reservations but after speaking with Mickey on the phone, she assured us we'd have a spot and to come on through. Mickey was an absolute sweetheart and her campground is just the cutest. It was all decorated and lit up for Christmas & all the campsites had their own decorations. It's right on Nicajack Lake & even with the gloomy weather we had, it was still gorgeous. We wish we could've stayed longer but plan to be back next year. The women's showers had blazing hot water, heated, & was a short walk from our campsite. We very much appreciate Mickey accommodating us with such short notice and highly recommend her campground! We can't wait to come back!
Dec 23, 2024 · Dev C.Great experience here. Host was accommodating and plenty of room for tent camping. The place was well kept, probably the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campground .
Mar 30, 2025 · Jacob WestonWe stayed one night but it was so beautiful, quite, and peaceful. We loved the place and wanted to stay longer if time permitted but alas! we didn't have the time. We'd love to.come back and stay a bit longer.
Oct 16, 2024 · 최미란We didn't camp here but we used one of the picnic areas by the lake for several hours. We cooked out on the charcoal grill. The scenery was great and the kids had a lot of fun splashing around in the lake. There was a playground and restrooms, although the restrooms needed a lot of attention.
Apr 20, 2025 · Blake GriffeyThe camp host were great, as we pulled in the site we were assigned was not idea for our rig. They changed us on there own with out hassle! There B & G dump was down due to construction but had a smaller dump site for portable tanks.
