Lookout Mountain / Chattanooga West KOA Holiday Reviews
My family and I were headed to fall creek falls when our truck went out. We were able to limp to this KOA as it was right where we broke down. We showed up around 10 pm and they allowed us to set up to have a place to sleep. The next day they helped us get situated while we got the truck to a shop. They were the friendliest people, very clean campsite. The bathrooms were awesome and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their site. In all honestly, they made our spring break trip well worth it. Beautiful area, trials and awesome views. God works in crazy ways but it allowed us to find this great campsite that we would have never known about. Highly recommend!
Apr 02, 2025 · Shane SamsOut of the way koa, which is good but it's still close enough to town you can get there pretty quick. We have stayed at about every koa between Louisville KY to GA. This koa has the BEST shower house we have ever been in at a koa. Also the price is amazing and the staff are the sweetest people!
Apr 24, 2025 · Rheannon RisonWe used this as a stop over on our way home to Maryland from Pensacola Florida! Not very far off of Interstate 24, convenient to Chattanooga. We called just before office closed and the lady on the phone was really nice and accomodating. We were given a nice pull through site that had a fire pit, patio with nice wrought iron patio set and a charcoal grill! Really wish I would have had charcoal to grill a burger! 😬 we got there at dusk and a storm rolled in so I didn’t get a chance to walk around until morning. The whole campground is very nice! Nice sites, cabins, tent sites, pool, dog park, playground! It was mid April so pool was not open yet, that’s why it looks a little green. I imagine it’s beautiful when open! Everything was very well kept! Bathhouse was spotless! We will be back if we ever pass through here again or come back to visit Chattanooga!
Apr 11, 2025 · June McCloskyThis campground is nestled in a mountain region in Georgia 20 to 30 minutes away from Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is close to rock city and Ruby Falls. A must go to if you want to visit the Chattanooga area.Office personnel very friendly very nice. Great amenities. The sites are not level so bring your blocks. The bathrooms/showers are very well maintained.
Mar 27, 2025 · Alex SpitlerThe Cabin was BEAUTIFUL the view was so gorgeous! It was perfect for our 2 night and 3 day stay that it offered. The facilities were beautiful and up to date! I probably would not return only due to staff and lack of a play area for my son who’s 4. Now my daughter who is 8 had things to play on loving it. The only negatives was maybe they need to be a little more friendly in the office. Now day one we had the sweetest young lady at our cabin spraying for wasp. She was a taller lady 5’11 with a very personable and kind spirit that made up for the office staffs dry and rude attitude. It was an older white hair lady who’s hair came to her chin that wouldn’t give me my room code and parking pass. I paid for this for my parents that were coming after 6:30 my mom who has hot flashes had to wait on the very hot cabin to cool off. I explained this when booking the room they gladly took the down payment and rest of the payment when I arrived. (For my room and the room I booked for my parents) I told this to them when booking! They said I would get mine and my parents car tags and codes at check in. Which did not happen and they made me come up 3 times after paying to get this information which wasted my first day there. I was questioned by her about guest coming . I’m not from there so the guest that was coming had already rented and paid for their stay. I got questioned about if we planned to order pizza. I said no we brought our own groceries. I was told we had let her know if we did order pizza. No one even mentioned ordering out for food. I don’t mind being explained rules and given the rule sheet. However, I would of appreciated it being told with the same kind of attitude as before paying for my stay. Maybe it’s protocol? I like to vacation where I apply the rules given without feeling watched. It made me uptight the rest of my stay so relaxation wasn’t a option on site. We had a aggressive dog near use and had to walk long walks around the park to avoid a run in with it. The play ground was a bouncy thing, Gaga ball, spider web, and climbing jungle gym my 4 year old could only really play on the jumping thing or spider web. Which kids that’s parents didn’t come kept pushing him and other guest down down. (Play wresting and throwing rock on the jumping pillow) (It was young boy around 9 years old that brought his younger sister that was 5 that keep pushing other kids off of it.) So, he really could not even play on that it wasn’t addressed by staff. I finally made him get off to avoid getting hit with the rocks on the bouncy thing. Yet a girl kept getting targeted and yelled at by the white hair office lady multiple times. She said for flipping multiple parents around as well as myself never saw this little flipping yet got yelled out multiple times. 🤷♀️ Yet nothing was said to the young man throwing rocks and pushing kids. I spoke with other parents there that shared my frustration with the same lady as one was leaving the next day due to same office staffs attitude towards her autistic son. We finally realized that the lady only engaged kindly to men and boys. The reason I say this is my husband, my nephew , my brother in law as well as my dad all had positive encounters. Then they said that she (same white hair ) spoke differently to-my daughter and me at check in and when asking where the ice was to purchase. I didn’t notice it was brought to my attention. My husband and BIL was like yeah she wasn’t like this before to me. The room, the fun my family had together due to the close attractions and for a place to rest my head at night this was perfect. I am not a KOA person and this is the third time trying KOA. I just love Yogi Bear how we can come home feeling truly relaxed. They have things for the whole family to do. If issues arise with others kids they don’t yell they gently re-guide them to their parents.(Well they don’t allow kids 12 and younger by themselves run around the campground.) They have leash rules put in place and applied. Over all my family enjoyed it out trip. No reviews were asked at checkout!
