Look no further than the Cloudland Canyon State Park Yurt Village, located in Rising Fawn, GA 30738, USA. Situated within the renowned Cloudland Canyon State Park, this yurt village offers a distinctive way to enjoy the park's stunning scenery and outdoor activities. While a direct phone number for the yurt village isn't provided in the text, you can likely contact the Cloudland Canyon State Park directly for booking information and inquiries.
Cloudland Canyon State Park itself is described by visitors as a "truly a hidden gem in Georgia," and for good reason. The park boasts breathtaking views of the deep gorge, lush and vibrant greenery, and a sense of tranquility that provides a welcome escape from the demands of daily life. From the moment you arrive, you'll be greeted by postcard-perfect vistas that set the stage for an exceptional outdoor adventure. The air is fresh and invigorating, especially for those accustomed to city living, offering a refreshing change of pace.
One of the park's major draws is its extensive network of "well-maintained" hiking trails, catering to a variety of fitness levels and preferences. Whether you're looking for an "easy stroll" to immerse yourself gently in nature or a "more challenging route" to test your endurance, Cloudland Canyon has something to offer. A highlight mentioned by a visitor is the Cloudland Canyon Trail, which not only takes you through the park's stunning landscapes but also leads to "spectacular waterfalls." The combination of visual beauty and the natural sounds of rushing water creates an "invigorating experience that is hard to match." The park's trails offer an intimate way to connect with the natural environment and appreciate the unique geology of the canyon.
For those seeking a peaceful retreat, Cloudland Canyon State Park provides ample opportunities for "peace and quiet." The natural ambiance and the relative seclusion of the park offer a chance to unwind, relax, and recharge amidst the beauty of nature. It's an ideal destination for individuals, couples, and families looking to disconnect from technology and reconnect with each other and the natural world.
The Cloudland Canyon State Park Yurt Village offers a unique accommodation option that elevates the traditional camping experience. As one group of friends who rented six yurts for three nights described, each yurt is well-equipped with comfortable furnishings. You can expect a "full-size bunk bed" to comfortably sleep multiple people, a "futon" providing additional sleeping or seating space, a "table and stools" for dining or games, practical "shelves" for storage, and convenient "side tables." This level of furnishing provides a significant step up from sleeping on the ground in a tent, offering a more comfortable and organized living space.
Each yurt also boasts outdoor amenities designed to enhance your stay. There are "two porches," offering space to relax outdoors, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the surrounding views. A "large gravel area" provides a functional space for outdoor activities and socializing. Each yurt also comes with a "picnic table" for outdoor dining, a "fire pit" for campfires and s'mores, and a "water spigot" for easy access to water right at your yurt site. These thoughtful outdoor amenities make the yurt village ideal for enjoying the natural setting with convenience.
The layout of the yurt village is also designed with both groups and individual families in mind. Six of the yurts (#2-7) are located "around a playground area," making them particularly well-suited for families with young children who will appreciate having a dedicated play space nearby. The other four yurts are situated "on the other side of a bathhouse," offering convenient access to the facilities. The reviewer noted that the arrangement is "ideal for a group" and also "would be nice for just a family because each yurt has a good bit of privacy," indicating that the yurts are spaced to allow for a sense of seclusion and personal space.
Regarding the condition of the yurts, one reviewer mentioned that their yurt "wasn’t spotless, but nothing a few Clorox wipes and the provided broom couldn’t handle." This suggests that while basic cleanliness is maintained, guests might want to bring a few cleaning supplies for their personal comfort. The provision of a broom indicates that guests can easily tidy up their space during their stay.
A significant comfort feature of the yurts is the inclusion of a "heater," which the reviewer "really enjoyed having." This amenity extends the camping season and ensures a comfortable stay even during cooler evenings or off-season visits. Having a reliable heat source can make a big difference in the overall enjoyment of a yurt stay.
The bathhouse serving the yurt village is described as "decently clean" and offers essential facilities. It includes "two family bathroom/shower rooms," providing private spaces for families or individuals. Additionally, there are separate men's and women's sections, each with "two toilets" (though one was reported as out of order during the reviewer's entire stay, which is a point to note) and a "shower stall." While generally clean, the limited number of facilities, especially the out-of-order toilet, might be something to consider during peak occupancy.
A major advantage of the yurt village's location within Cloudland Canyon State Park is the "easily accessed" proximity to the park's attractions. The reviewer mentioned easy access to the "West Rim Loop trail" and the "trails down to the falls behind our village." This prime location allows yurt guests to conveniently explore the park's renowned hiking trails and stunning waterfalls without the need for extensive travel within the park.
Promotional information is somewhat implicit in the positive reviews, highlighting the beautiful environment, comfortable yurts, family-friendly layout with a playground, and convenient access to hiking trails and waterfalls. The unique experience of yurt camping itself can be considered a promotional draw for those seeking an alternative to traditional tent or RV camping. For local users looking for a memorable "camping near me" experience with a blend of comfort and nature, the Cloudland Canyon State Park Yurt Village offers a compelling option.
To get specific promotional details, booking information, and to inquire about the availability of yurts, local users should visit the official Cloudland Canyon State Park website or contact the park directly. Information on pricing, seasonal rates, and any special packages or events might be available through these channels. It's also advisable to check for any current park alerts or facility updates, such as the status of the bathhouse toilets or any ongoing maintenance that might affect your stay.
In conclusion, the Cloudland Canyon State Park Yurt Village offers a fantastic "camping near me" opportunity for local users seeking a unique and comfortable outdoor adventure. With well-equipped yurts, a beautiful natural setting featuring stunning canyon views, easy access to hiking trails and waterfalls, and family-friendly amenities like a playground, it's an ideal destination for families, groups, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of Cloudland Canyon in a distinctive way. While some minor cleanliness and facility considerations were mentioned in the reviews, the overall experience appears to be overwhelmingly positive, making it a highly recommended choice for your next camping getaway.

Mar 27, 2022 · Shannon CardenYurt #2 smelled like pee as soon as you sit on the futon. Minimum stay is 2 nights. We left very early the next day simply because we can't deal with the smells. Don't go to yurt#2.
