R Haven Overnight Family Park Introduce
Are you searching for a "camping near me" destination in the Rising Fawn, Georgia area that offers a blend of natural beauty, family-friendly features, and convenient access to outdoor adventures? R Haven Overnight Family Park, located at 7643 US-11, Rising Fawn, GA 30738, USA, appears to be a highly recommended option based on recent customer feedback. This campground seems to provide a serene environment nestled in a valley, with a clean creek for family enjoyment and proximity to the renowned Cloudland Canyon State Park.
One enthusiastic reviewer described R Haven as an "Awesome park, great people I highly recommend checking it out," immediately highlighting the positive atmosphere and friendly service that guests can expect. This initial positive sentiment is further elaborated by another guest who shared a detailed account of their "wonderful and quick experience" while staying in spot #9 with their small RV. This particular site was located right next to a creek, which was noted for its cleanliness and beauty, as well as being safe for children to play in. The presence of a clean and accessible creek adds a significant appeal for families with kids looking for water-based fun during their "camping near me" trip.
The helpfulness of the park management, particularly Robert, was also emphasized in the review. Although the guest "never saw him," Robert was readily available whenever they had a question, indicating a responsive and attentive host who contributes to a positive guest experience. This sense of support, even without constant physical presence, can be reassuring for campers, especially those new to the area or RVing.
The natural environment surrounding R Haven Overnight Family Park is described as being "nestled in a little valley surrounded by mountain." This picturesque setting promises beautiful views, especially after the morning fog rises, as experienced by the reviewer. The mountainous backdrop suggests opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying the natural landscape. For local users seeking a "camping near me" location with stunning natural surroundings, R Haven appears to be a strong contender.
A significant advantage of R Haven's location is its close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park, situated just 3 miles away. This makes the campground an ideal base for those planning to hike and explore the extensive trails and breathtaking scenery of the state park. The convenience of being so close to a major natural attraction enhances the overall appeal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for "camping near me" that combines a peaceful stay with opportunities for adventure.
The reviewer also noted the quiet atmosphere and privacy at the RV park. They mentioned being spaced far enough from other campers to feel a sense of seclusion, stating, "We were never close enough to another human to even say hello or wave." This level of privacy can be highly valued by those seeking a tranquil retreat and a break from crowded environments. For local users prioritizing peace and quiet during their camping trip, R Haven seems to offer a serene setting.
The cleanliness of the bathhouse was another positive aspect highlighted in the review. The guest described it as "very clean," which is a crucial factor for many campers when choosing a "camping near me" location. Clean and well-maintained facilities contribute significantly to a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
However, the reviewer did mention one area for potential improvement regarding the privacy within the bathhouse. They noted that the toilet stalls were covered by shower curtains, which provided minimal privacy, and expressed concern about others brushing past as they walked through. While this was a minor concern for the reviewer, who ultimately had the bathhouse mostly to themselves, it is an important point for potential guests to be aware of, especially those who highly value bathroom privacy. The reviewer also acknowledged that a small lack of privacy is often expected and manageable during camping trips.
Based on the available information, R Haven Overnight Family Park appears to offer a compelling "camping near me" experience characterized by a beautiful natural setting, a clean and safe creek, a helpful host, convenient access to Cloudland Canyon, a quiet and private atmosphere, and clean facilities. While a minor privacy concern in the bathhouse was noted, the overall positive feedback suggests a well-regarded campground.

R Haven Overnight Family Park Reviews
Awesome park, great people I highly recommend checking it out
Apr 29, 2025 · Thomas NicosonWe had a wonderful and quick experience at R Haven last weekend. We were in spot #9 in our small RV right next to the creek which was a clean and beautiful creek that was safe for the kids to play in. Robert was very helpful and made the stay even better. We never saw him but he was available whenever we needed to ask a question. The area is nestled in a little valley surrounded by mountain and after the fog rose on our morning there the views were beautiful. It is 3 miles from Cloudland Canyon, which is where we went to hike and explore during our stay. It was very quiet at the RV park, and we had privacy. We were never close enough to another human to even say hello or wave. The bathhouse was very clean. My only negative feedback would be that, while the bathrooms were very clean, there was very little privacy. The toilet stalls are covered by a shower curtain and I felt like people walking in the door would brush past my knees as they walked through. However, only one person came in during my shower so my worries ended up being for nothing since I had the whole bathhouse to myself the majority of the time. Most people on camping trips like this are prepared to deal with a small lack of privacy anyway. Would definitely suggest this place to anyone camping or in an RV in the area!
Oct 12, 2021 · Casey BowieVery quiet rv park, was very peaceful and no one bothered us. The owner escorted us to our campsite and showed us where to connect. Very clean facility that also has laundry machines. The only complaint is the bath house is not very conveniently located. Other than that minor inconvenience it's a great place to stay!
Jun 29, 2024 · Ken RobertsLoved this Overnight RV park!It was off the beaten path a little so it wasn't too busy like many of the state parks. Which we enjoyed. The amenities were excellent, clean and in close proximity to everyone's sites. They offer washer/dryer units for a $1 fee that was well worth it for us as we had gone caving with G3adventures at cloudland canyon state park. The grounds were perfectly maintained...( and with out us even saying anything about the grass being a tad high), I suppose the owners saw us playing horseshoes and came out the very next day and had trimmed the areas inside the throwing boxes. It was a very personal touch for us that we sincerely appreciated! We were on the creek side and loved our site, and we were also happy to see that the "group shelter" area had 2 gas grills, tables, and recreation items for us to use at our leisure. As we had a dog, we found the layout of the rv park perfect to walk her [on a leash] around the premises. The owner, Carolyn, was super sweet and helpful during our phone conversations and made the R Haven Overnight Family Park an easy choice for use when deciding where to go for our Holiday weekend. We will definitely be back!!!
Sep 07, 2017 · KRISTIN GRIFFINThe host are very kind and helpful. This is a little gem I will definitely put on the list of revisits. A nice stream on the property and the way it is set up you feel like you have your own space. Calm camping, that's what it is!!
