Skull Island Campground Reviews
This is my 2nd trip to this campground! The staff there is extremely nice and very helpful! They do a great job running the campground. The location of the campground is great, and the sunsets are amazing. My first trip I stayed (in a tent) towards the middle and had very little issue with any noises. This visit we were directly across from the boat ramp. The views were gorgeous, but if you are in a tent I don't recommend staying facing the boat ramp. It was super noisy from about 11pm until 4am from those night fishing. That wasn't an issue with anyone at the campground or the campground itself, and I'm sure would be much better in an RV than a tent.
Apr 21, 2025 · Jennifer HillGreat little place! Campsites and restrooms were very clean and well maintained and the little store has thought of everything you could possibly need. Friendly and helpful staff. 10/10 great experience. We will definitely be back
Apr 28, 2025 · Cindel EdwardsAbsolutely love camping here! Would give a full five stars because it honestly has everything we love about a campground. Unfortunately my children look forward to the scavenger hunt each trip and we learned this weekend they no longer offer that 😕 would love to have that back as it really gets the children more excited about this campground compared to others.
Apr 13, 2025 · Angie JohnsonAwesome camping spot. Most all spots are level with very few adjustments to make to your rig. They have a beach/swimming area and the bath houses are very clean and well maintained.
Apr 21, 2025 · MACKThe space we had(#24) has a very rough uphill/ downhill access. We told the visitors center the following morning, and they allowed us to mo e spots for easier access.I had seen a review that was very upset that their view was of the power plant. That is only on one side of the island, and that happens to be where we were as well. Honestly, it may be a nuclear power plant, but it's very pretty at night. The workers could not have been nicerThey gave us access to the grave yard, my girls wanted to collect trash on the coast, and they provided trash bags. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
