tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND Introduce
For local residents seeking "camping near me" in the vicinity of McDonald, Tennessee, tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND, located at 313 S McDonald Rd, McDonald, TN 37353, USA, presents a camping option with both noted charms and potential drawbacks, according to recent customer feedback. This campground appears to offer a unique setting, though perspectives on its environment and overall appeal vary significantly.
Based on one visitor's experience who booked through Airbnb, the environment of tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND offers a "perfect little dream" ambiance. This positive review highlights features such as string lights, a hammock, and a fire pit, suggesting an effort to create a cozy and inviting outdoor space. The availability of water and sewer hookups indicates that the campground caters to those traveling with campers. The reviewer also noted a generally quiet atmosphere, with the exception of occasional trains and neighboring chickens, which they found to be "charming." This suggests a rural or semi-rural setting where the sounds of nature and occasional passing trains are part of the backdrop. The host's provision of "goodies" and responsiveness to questions further contributed to a positive initial impression of the environment and hospitality.
However, a contrasting perspective from a local resident paints a different picture of the environment. This review describes the campground as "dirty" and located only about 30 feet away from a "busy road," directly contradicting the "quiet" assessment of the other reviewer. The proximity to a busy road would imply potential noise pollution from passing vehicles, which could detract from the tranquility of a camping experience. The local resident also mentions the train being "right there," suggesting that train noise might be more frequent or intrusive than the Airbnb guest perceived. This stark contrast in environmental descriptions highlights the importance of considering different perspectives when evaluating a "camping near me" option.
In terms of services, the positive review indicates the availability of essential hookups for campers, specifically water and sewer. The presence of a fire pit suggests that campfires are permitted, a common feature for many campgrounds. The mention of string lights and a hammock implies that some level of amenity is provided to enhance the campsite's appeal. The host's responsiveness to questions suggests a degree of guest service and attentiveness. However, the negative review does not comment on services, focusing primarily on the perceived cleanliness and location relative to the road and train tracks. Therefore, based on the available information, the services appear to cater to camper owners with basic hookups and some aesthetic enhancements at the individual campsites, along with a responsive host.
The features of tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND, as gleaned from the positive review, include the provision of string lights for ambiance, a hammock for relaxation, and a fire pit for campfires and outdoor cooking. The availability of water and sewer hookups is a significant feature for those traveling in campers. The Airbnb booking platform suggests that the campground might be geared towards short-term stays facilitated through such services. However, the local resident's review introduces a concerning feature: the apparent long-term presence of at least one camper for over five months. This could indicate that the campground might be hosting long-term residents, which could potentially impact the availability of sites for short-term campers and possibly contribute to the "dirty" conditions reported. The proximity to a busy road and train tracks, while perceived as "charming" by one visitor, could be a significant drawback for others seeking a peaceful "camping near me" experience.
There is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. The positive review stems from an Airbnb booking, suggesting that pricing and availability would be managed through that platform. Potential local users searching for "camping near me" would need to check Airbnb or other booking sites for current rates and availability at tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND. It is also worth noting the absence of any mention of amenities like restrooms, showers, or communal areas, which are typically found in more established campgrounds. This absence might suggest that tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND is a more basic setup primarily catering to self-contained campers. Given the conflicting reviews, potential campers might want to look for more recent feedback or even drive by the location to assess the environment for themselves before booking.
In conclusion, tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND near McDonald, TN, presents a mixed picture for local users seeking "camping near me." A positive Airbnb review highlights the charming campsite setup with string lights, a hammock, a fire pit, and camper hookups, along with a responsive host. However, a local resident's perspective describes the campground as dirty and very close to a busy road and train tracks, also noting the seemingly permanent presence of at least one camper. This significant discrepancy suggests that the actual camping experience at tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND might vary depending on individual sensitivities to noise and cleanliness, as well as the specific campsite location within the property. Potential campers are advised to weigh both perspectives and seek additional information or recent reviews to make an informed decision about whether tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND meets their needs for a "camping near me" getaway. Booking through Airbnb or other platforms would likely be necessary to secure a stay, and checking for any specific rules or amenities provided by the host would also be prudent.

tiny HOUSE CAMPGROUND Reviews
Booked our stay on Air B&B for a weekend. We brought our camper and hooked up to the water/sewer. The string lights, hammock, and fire pit make this place a perfect little dream. It's quiet except for the occasional train & chickens next door - which are both just charming. Our host left us some goodies and was very responsive to any questions we had. We definitely will come back next time we need a place to stay near Cleveland!
Sep 17, 2023 · Alexia HinesI live 2 minutes away from this place and I drive past it almost every day. The pictures make it look nice quite and clean. In reality it's dirty and cars such as I drive past it everyday. It's only like 30 feet away from a busy road. The train is even right there. Even if I did want to camp there, there has been a camper there for over 5 MONTHS. It's always like that. They just never leave. It's dirty and me and my family are sick and tired of driving past that dump and seeing the same dirty camper.

May 03, 2024 · Brandon HayesHad a great time in the tiny house. We were so impressed by Shirlee and all the work she does to make you feel at home. The animals were such a joy. Loved feeding the horses carrots and walking on the property. If you have never been there you need to go it is fantastic and very relaxing. Love the dogs, chickens, horses and the cats. Will definitely stay again. Very clean also.
