Jan 22, 2024 · Martha AttardiThey ruined a good thing when they switched to assigned sites. Soledad has never been a great park, it's rundown and has lots of problems, but you at least had options to put yourself in an acceptable area before. Now a computer puts you into a site that hopefully works in your favor.Don't like the spot you were given, wanna camp near your friends, well too bad because all those nice spots you see empty for multiple days in a row are assigned to someone that doesn't get there for another week. Don't like being woken up by a train at 3am every day? Suck it up because you're stuck there for your stay and can't go find a quiter spot like you've been able to do for the past 30+ years. I've been coming to this park for many years and I'm seeing people placed in campsites no one ever chose on their own while premium sites sit empty. There are so many things that got ruined by switching from first come first served campsite selection, I can only assume corporate wants it's long term members out. This review is not reflective of the parks staff, which are trying their best to deal with this fiasco, this is corporate forcing a change that most members did not want. 1/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Mar 28, 2025 · ElevateWe stayed a week in the new section, it is big and some of the sites are double wide with trees! Dog walking stations and nice park for kids. The pool is not heated and the hot tub was 99 while we were there, it also closed at dusk which for us was 5pm. How are people supposed to relax after a long day when the spa closes at 5pm.....makes no sense. The bathrooms are also freezing don't expect to take a shower in a warm bathroom unless you use your RV. Lots of beautiful views....would definitely stay again during warmer weather, has a beautiful trail for dog walking as well.
Jan 15, 2024 · Anna WeaverThis campground is my home base. I've been here for most of this year living in my camper! The views are amazing of Soledad canyon and the staff is great. It's awesome having two pools to choose from along with two laundry rooms as well. Plus the campground is so spaced out I can easily walk my dog for miles and not have to leave the grounds!
