The Dell Motorcoach Resort Introduce
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience tailored for motorcoaches, The Dell Motorcoach Resort, located at 475 Apple Valley Rd, Sevierville, TN 37862, USA, presents itself as a potentially appealing option. This resort aims to provide a comfortable and convenient stay for RV travelers in the popular Smoky Mountains region. However, it's essential for prospective guests to consider the varying experiences reported by recent visitors to make an informed decision.
The Environment of The Dell Motorcoach Resort: A Tale of Two Perspectives
Based on the available reviews, the environment of The Dell Motorcoach Resort appears to be in a state of transition. One recent guest described their site as being "completely under construction," accompanied by concerning pictures. This suggests that some areas of the resort may currently be undergoing significant development, potentially impacting the aesthetic appeal and overall experience of certain sites. This reviewer expressed disappointment with the condition of their assigned space compared to the online advertisements. Conversely, another reviewer described The Dell Motorcoach Resort as "probably the nicest motorcoach park in the area," highlighting its beauty, well-kept grounds, spaciousness, quiet atmosphere, and sense of privacy. This positive feedback emphasizes its location as a "quiet private oasis" away from the bustling downtown areas of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, while still being close to attractions. The discrepancy in these reviews suggests that the environment may vary significantly depending on the specific site assigned and the ongoing construction activities. Potential guests should be aware of the possibility of encountering construction and inquire about the current status of the resort before booking.
Services and Features: Potential and Current Challenges
The services and features offered at The Dell Motorcoach Resort seem to have both potential strengths and current challenges, as indicated by the customer reviews. The positive review mentions "flawless" electric, water, and sewer hookups, which are essential for a comfortable motorcoach stay. The presence of new concrete pads and large, new picnic benches on the sites is also a significant advantage, offering a clean and functional setup. The resort is described as well-manicured, suggesting attention to the overall upkeep of the grounds in completed areas. However, the negative review raises serious concerns regarding the resort's handling of site assignments and customer service. The guest reported being assigned a site under construction, being denied a different site or a refund, and being pressured to sign a contract stating satisfaction despite the evident issues. The inability to speak with a manager and the offer of only a future voucher as compensation for a substandard experience are significant red flags. While the positive review suggests that the resort aims for a high standard of service and amenities in its completed sections, the negative review indicates potential inconsistencies and unsatisfactory customer service practices during periods of construction or when issues arise. Local users considering this "camping near me" option should inquire about the availability of fully completed sites and the resort's policies regarding refunds, site changes, and addressing guest concerns.
Key Features: What The Dell Motorcoach Resort Aims to Offer
Based on the positive customer feedback, The Dell Motorcoach Resort aims to provide several key features that would appeal to motorcoach owners looking for "camping near me":
- Spacious Sites: The mention of accommodating a 43 ft. coach and a full-size truck on site 2611 indicates generously sized lots.
- Level Concrete Pads: Ensuring a stable and clean parking surface for motorcoaches.
- Full Hookups: Providing essential electric, water, and sewer connections for RV convenience.
- Well-Maintained Grounds: Suggesting an effort to keep the resort clean and aesthetically pleasing in its completed areas.
- Quiet and Private Atmosphere: Offering a peaceful retreat away from the noise of tourist centers.
- Proximity to Attractions: Conveniently located near Pigeon Forge and Sevierville while maintaining a sense of tranquility.
- New Amenities: The presence of new concrete pads and picnic benches suggests ongoing investment in the resort's infrastructure.
- Easy Site Access: The positive review noted no trouble getting in or out of their assigned site.
However, potential guests must balance these intended features with the reported experience of ongoing construction and the associated negative impacts on site quality and customer service.

The Dell Motorcoach Resort Reviews
Just checked in to our site. So far this is terrible. The site is completely under construction. See pictures. Went to the office to request another site. They claim nothing else is available. Asked for a refund, was told they can't issue refunds. Only vouchers for a future stay. As if I ever wanted to come back. Asked for a discount for the inconvenience and false advertisement, as the online pictures look amazing compared to reality. No discounts. Asked to speak to the manager, but they won't even let me talk to him. Forced me to sign the contract which states that I am satisfied with the space or they would kick me out. We have no choice but to stay since nothing else is available in short notice. But BBB and attorney General will be hearing from me unless they make this right.
Jul 16, 2022 · Rene RobainaProbably the nicest motorcoach park in the area. This place is beautiful, well kept, spacious, quiet and private. Close to all the attractions but a quiet private oasis from all the hustle bustle of downtown Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. We stayed in site 2611 and it was plenty long for our 43 ft. Coach and full size truck. It was a brand new concrete pad and was quite level. All the sites are concrete now. It was so clean and manicured. The large picnic bench was brand new. We had no trouble getting in or out of the site. Electric water and sewer hookups were flawless. The road leading from 441 to the Dell is a bit narrow but it's only 1/2 mile or so and we only encountered one truck coming the other way.
Apr 13, 2021 · David ReyburnEdit: sorry ,changed 11 to 12 arrival time . I checked the time stamp of my photos. The site we had reservations for still had someone in it when we arrived at 12 (check in time ) we sat out front of our spot for an hour and a half waiting for them to leave . When we were able to pull in the place it was a mess from someone working on the shed . Sawdust all over along with small pieces of wood on the ground . The fire pit had several pieces of pressure treated lumber tossed in it . The stones surrounding the fire pit and the patio were repaired with completely different color cement sloppy repairs is putting it mildly. One slate was loose on the edge of the step and the wife almost fell but luckily she caught herself . I’m reporting the way I see it . Seems the owners of the lot just collects the monies without maintaining. Other sites were beautiful, ours , not so much . We will NOT be going back .
