Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Flat Rock, Michigan area and come across Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales, located at 26211 Telegraph Rd, Flat Rock, MI 48134, USA, it is crucial to carefully consider the recent feedback from residents. The available reviews present a mixed picture, highlighting both positive aspects like a quiet neighborhood and good neighbors, as well as significant drawbacks concerning pet policies, maintenance responsiveness, and yard conditions.
One of the first points to note for potential residents with pets is the park's pet policy. According to one reviewer who was hoping to move into Deerfield Estates, the community only allows one pet per lease. This policy prevented them from qualifying due to having a shih tzu and a cat, despite meeting the income requirements. Therefore, individuals with more than one pet should be aware of this restriction before considering this park.
Regarding maintenance, experiences appear to vary significantly between renters and homeowners within Deerfield Estates. One long-term renter shared a detailed account indicating that while the park conducts regular inspections (every other month), maintenance requests, particularly for renters, seem to be slow or unaddressed. This reviewer mentioned cracks in the walls from settling and other issues noted during inspections but never repaired. They strongly advised potential buyers to thoroughly inspect any home before purchasing, as homeowners are responsible for all repairs. For renters, they suggested ensuring that everything is in good condition upon moving in, as getting maintenance done can be a difficult process.
Another significant issue raised by the same renter concerns the condition of their yard. Upon moving in 16 months prior to their review, the yard reportedly had holes and swampy areas, attracting geese. While some attempts at repair were made by adding dirt, the reviewer stated that they still had to wear winter rubber boots to access their shed due to persistent mud and muck, even after some recent work on the main yard. This prolonged issue with the yard prevented them from enjoying outdoor space, particularly during quarantine. They also noted that their mobile home is located in an area prone to flooding during rain, surrounded by water, leading to problems with gnats and mosquitoes.
Despite these significant concerns, the reviewer did mention some positive aspects of Deerfield Estates. They noted that the part of the park where they reside is "quiet and fabulous" and that they have "great neighbors." This suggests that while there are notable maintenance and environmental issues, there is also a sense of community and peace within certain areas of the park.
In contrast to the challenges faced by the long-term renter, another reviewer provided a brief update indicating a positive resolution to a specific maintenance request. They mentioned that the area in front of their shed had been fixed as requested and expressed overall happiness, particularly looking forward to the grass growing in the repaired area to enjoy their yard. This suggests that while there might be inconsistencies in maintenance responsiveness, the management is capable of addressing issues when they are brought to their attention.
The information available does not provide specific details about the environment of the entire Deerfield Estates community, such as the layout, common areas, or overall landscaping, beyond the individual yard issues reported. Similarly, there is no explicit mention of services or features typically found in mobile home or RV parks, such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, or community centers. The focus of the reviews is primarily on maintenance experiences and the condition of individual lots.
Given the mixed feedback, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" for long-term living should carefully weigh the potential benefits of a quiet neighborhood and good neighbors against the reported challenges with pet policies, inconsistent maintenance, and potential yard and flooding issues at Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales. It is crucial to ask detailed questions and, if possible, inspect the specific lot and home being considered before making a decision.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding, potential residents should contact Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales directly at (734) 782-0430 or +1 734-782-0430 to inquire about their current pet policy, maintenance procedures for both renters and owners, typical timelines for repairs, and any measures taken to address yard drainage and flooding issues. It would also be beneficial to ask about the frequency of inspections and the process for submitting and following up on maintenance requests.
Flat Rock, Michigan, is a suburban city in the Downriver area, offering various local amenities and services. The location of Deerfield Estates on Telegraph Rd suggests accessibility to transportation and nearby towns. However, the internal conditions and management practices of the community itself are the primary concerns raised in the resident feedback.
In conclusion, Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales in Flat Rock, MI, offers a community that some residents find quiet with friendly neighbors. However, potential residents should be aware of the strict one-pet policy and the reported inconsistencies in maintenance responsiveness, particularly for renters. Issues with yard conditions and potential flooding in certain areas are also significant concerns raised by a long-term resident. While some maintenance requests may be addressed, thorough due diligence, including detailed inquiries with the management and, if possible, current residents, is strongly recommended before considering Deerfield Estates as a long-term living option found through a search for "RV parks near me."

Deerfield Estates/AJR Home Sales Reviews
Seems like a really nice park, was hoping to get in here but they only allow 1 pet per lease. We have a shih tzu and a cat so we didn't qualify despite making well over the income requirements.
Apr 09, 2025 · Marlene McNeilUpdate: The park has fixed in front of my shed as I was asking. Once the grass grows, then it's good. Overall, we're happy, just needed a yard to enjoy. It looks rough now, but, it'll get there.I thought we were safe moving here because the reviews were good, but wait! There's more! A couple things I noticed was 1. If you buy your home outright, any repairs are on you. When you call maintenance the first question is do you rent or own. My suggestion is don't buy without checking EVERYTHING first. If you rent, make sure that things are on point because getting them to do anything is like pulling teeth. As a renter, they do inspections every other month on their time. It's a requirement, yet everytime they came in, they took note of the cracks down the walls from settling and other things but, never bother fixing it. I don't have an issue being inspected as I keep my home military clean but, what's the point if it's not going to get fixed. 2. The other irritation is I've asked for my yard to be fixed since I moved 16 months ago. The yard had holes, swamp areas to the point the geese were swimming behind my house. They tried to fix it last year, add dirt shut them up. Well, we've had to wear winter rubber boots to get stuff from the shed. My biggest issue is during quarantine, couldn't go outside and enjoy the yard. Stuck! We we're told they couldn't do anything, even though the greenhouse down the toad was open and delivering yards of dirt. I'll admit they worked on the yard and are trying to fix the main yard. Guess what? Still have to wear boots to get into the shed. I really would like to wear summer shoes without them getting covered in mud/muck. I should have had the yard done myself but, I'm not buying this mobile home. No way. We live in a mote, when it rains, our mobile home is literally surrounded by water. The gnats and mosquitos are horrible. So, waiting to finish the last part of my education and it's time to go. The part of the park we're in is quiet and fabulous. We have great neighbors and for the most part, it's a nice park as long as you start out with a yard and don't need maintenance.
Jun 08, 2020 · Theresa SNicely kept up. Pool is great. Grandson's love the park. Most homes are nice. I have many family members that live there. Neighbors are friendly.
Nov 05, 2024 · Jeannie DeanReally big mobile home park. I hope you have a map when you go thru here. It's big! Be careful it's easy to get all turned around.
Mar 07, 2025 · Jenni SPicked up a friend that lives there. Don't know much about the place. She seems to like it except her one neighbor that doesn't take care of his yard. The trash gets dumped over and he just leaves it there until she goes to pick it up.
