Making a reservation allows you to secure your preferred dates and campsite, ensuring a stress-free arrival and setup.
While specific promotional information can vary and is best obtained directly from the campground or local camping resources, it's common for campgrounds to offer special deals or discounts at certain times of the year. These might include off-season rates, discounts for longer stays, or package deals that combine camping with local attractions or services. Checking the campground's website, subscribing to their newsletter if available, or following their social media channels can provide updates on any current promotions. Local camping platforms that aggregate "camping near me" options might also feature these special offers.

The Lazy H Campground Reviews
This is a great campground. Really nice and well maintained, huge RV pads with (according to them) 65’ of grass between each pad and it looks to be true. Playground is really fantastic for kids from toddler to teen. Man made lake that is stocked with fish and plenty of beach to have a day on the water.Only issue that I see is that it’s really large and so spread out that getting anywhere almost needs a golf cart. There is no bathroom near the playground and it’s on the opposite side of the lake as most camping pads, so if you have littler ones make sure they go before you hit the playground.WiFi is strong and fast, shade is limited since it’s a newer campground but in the years to come all the trees they planted will be really great. We will be back.
Oct 11, 2024 · CharlieWe needed one last campground on our way back from Yellowstone to St Louis. Googled best campground in Iowa and this was the top result. Easily checked all our boxes and then some:- Biggest and nicest concrete pads of any campground I’ve been at-Great fire pit and picnic table-Sand lined lake complete with lily pads and a huge beach- New playground that has to be the nicest of any campground in the countryCombine all these amenities with the fact that it is just 300 miles from Badlands National Park ensures that we will be back anytime we are heading west, or back home again.
Aug 01, 2022 · Mike JansonOur family of 6 stayed in Cabin #1 very comfortably. I highly recommend coming!! The beds and linens are really nice. We stayed during a heat wave and the AC did a great job keeping up. The cabin is conveniently located behind the amazing playground that even my teenagers enjoyed. The beach and lake is in front and viewable from the porch of the cabin where you can layout, float on a tube, swim, or rent one of their kayaks or paddle boards. We didn’t try the Jon boats or pontoons, but sitting under the marina during the hot days was all you needed to enjoy our favorite part, the fishing!! We were impressed that with just worms you could catch just about anything. During the evening we enjoyed the fire pit area with friends. There is a day use charge of $5 pp if friends join you during the day, but totally worth it. My family will be coming back very soon!
Jun 15, 2022 · Rachel PhillipsLazy H is the bomb! Justin and his crew worked so hard to make sure our experience at their campground was relaxing and memorable! Angie works in the office and she is on point! We have already reserved one return trip and trying to work another one in too! The concrete pad is huge, the picnic tables are comfortable and everyone enjoyed the fire pit. The beach area is large and clean with lilly pads. There are boats and various items available for rent. We loved the time on the pontoon. This is a private lake so no fishing license required. NOTE: this is a new campground and the trees are not mature. Bring your own shade!
Jul 15, 2020 · Deborah NicholsWe had the best time at the Lazy H!!! The staff was so accommodating and checked in on us a lot and kept the campgrounds very clean!!! They delivered ice and firewood when needed as well. At our campsite we had our own fire pit and table with chairs to sit at for meals. Our site was quite large with full hookup. Lots of places for kids to ride bikes and scooters. The shower rooms/bath rooms were kept very clean. The beach was very spacious, sandy and the water was great and clear. We spent our time swimming, fishing, canoeing and walking the trails and my kids rode their bikes. The owner was Amazing and brought in food trucks and snow cones and put on an Awesome firework show for the 4th he even brought around popcorn to each site for the show as a thank you for coming opening weekend!!! We will definitely be bringing our family back for years to come for more great memories and can’t wait for all the additions as this campsite grows!!!!
