Based on the available customer reviews, this introduction will delve into the environment, services, and features of The Ridge Outdoor Resort, providing local users with a comprehensive understanding of what this "camping near me" option entails.
The Ridge Outdoor Resort is strategically located in Sevierville, Tennessee, placing it within close proximity to the popular tourist destinations of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This location offers a unique advantage, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquility of a resort setting while still having convenient access to the numerous attractions, entertainment options, and natural beauty of the region. One reviewer noted that "The resort is located far enough but close enough to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg," highlighting this ideal balance.
The resort itself appears to be well-maintained, with one guest describing the sites as "huge and level" and featuring "stamped concrete of more than ample size." This suggests a focus on providing comfortable and spacious accommodations for RVs of various sizes. The mention of being "1 row up from the bottom" and the reference to "upgraded but not premium spot" indicates a variety of site options, potentially with different views or amenities. While one review mentioned "road noise with trucks and semis" due to its location on a major road, it also suggests that this might be site-specific, with quieter spots potentially available "up on the hill near the clubhouse or the further you get from the road." Local users should consider this when booking and perhaps inquire about site locations further away from the main road if noise sensitivity is a concern.
The overall environment within the resort seems geared towards providing a pleasant and well-organized camping experience. The positive comments about the cleanliness of the bathrooms ("amazing - very clean and spacious") further contribute to the positive impression of the resort's upkeep and attention to guest comfort.

The Ridge Outdoor Resort Reviews
This was our 3rd stay at The Ridge and it was awesome as usual! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The sites are huge and level. We splurged on a Signature Site and now we are spoiled - my son enjoyed the hot tub every day. The bathrooms are amazing - very clean and spacious. The resort is located far enough but close enough to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We love staying here so much that we booked another stay halfway through this vacation - can’t wait to come back!
Mar 22, 2025 · Elizabeth MeeksStart with the good. We camped here in our fifth wheel in March 25. 1 row up from the bottom in an upgraded but not premium spot. Had good level stamped concrete of more than ample size for our 36’ fifth wheel and truck. There was a nice gas fire pit that worked correctly ever time and it was nice to just turn the timer dial to start it. We paid a reduced discounted rate less than $500 for 5 nights so that was good. There was a lot of road noise with trucks and semis since it is on a major road and that was irritating and disrupting, however, I think that is a spot selection. Maybe the road noise wouldn’t be as bad up on the hill near the clubhouse or the further you get from the road. Also, our spot was too far from showers, pools, hot tub, and other amenities and the hills are something to deal with so I felt inclined to drive everywhere. The golf simulator didn’t work the week we were here and wow the clubhouse is visually nice, it was scarcely stocked.
Mar 26, 2025 · Troy FryeWe had a fantastic time at the Resort over the Easter weekend, the staff was all very accomodating and friendly. The ONLY thing I disliked was the water pressure in the showers at the bath house. It would be nice if the showers had a little more water pressure. But everything was very nice and we will be back!!
Apr 21, 2025 · Helen MullinsPlace was great. very clean and updated. Our site was very nice next to the lake and we enjoyed the hot tub and privacy. The deli was great too. Showers amazing...very clean and updated. It was off season so can't speak on pools, but they looked awesome. A bit off the beaten path, but that's what we wanted although not sure others will like that.
Mar 14, 2025 · Erik HissRented an RV space for 2 nights. Nice and clean. Spacious sites for big rig maneuvering and parking with. Even has an overflow lot. Dollywood is minutes away. Will be back in a few months for a longer stay
