Tres Rios Resort Introduce
Welcome to Tres Rios Resort, located at 2322 County Rd 312, Glen Rose, TX 76043, USA. If your search for "RV parks near me" in the Glen Rose area has led you here, it's important to understand that Tres Rios Resort operates under a membership model as part of Ocean Canyon Properties. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Tres Rios Resort based on the available customer reviews, highlighting its environment, services, features, and any mentioned promotional aspects related to its membership structure.
The environment of Tres Rios Resort is described by one long-term member as "quiet and relaxing" with a "country feel." This suggests a potentially peaceful setting that appeals to those looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle. The resort's location in Glen Rose, Texas, known for its natural beauty and outdoor attractions, likely contributes to this environment. However, a more recent visitor noted that the campsites are "literally right on top of one another," indicating that while the overall area might be scenic, the individual site density could be a drawback for those seeking more space and privacy. This close proximity might impact the noise levels and the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Tres Rios Resort offers a range of services and amenities, particularly geared towards families. A long-term member mentioned that their granddaughter enjoys the "pool and games and crafts they offer," suggesting that the resort provides activities and facilities suitable for children and families. The staff is consistently described as "friendly and helpful," contributing to a positive guest experience upon arrival and during their stay. One first-time RVer appreciated the kindness of the staff upon a late arrival and their willingness to answer questions the following morning. However, a significant service issue highlighted by a recent visitor is the unreliable "free WiFi," which frequently disconnects and is unsuitable for streaming services. This could be a considerable inconvenience for guests needing to stay connected or entertain themselves with electronics, especially children.
Key features of Tres Rios Resort include its family-friendly atmosphere with activities like a pool, games, and crafts, making it appealing for those traveling with children. The friendly and helpful staff is another notable feature, consistently praised by reviewers. The resort's association with Ocean Canyon Properties and its membership model is a central feature that distinguishes it from traditional nightly-rate RV parks. One reviewer mentioned receiving "21 free nights through Ocean Canyon Resort" as part of an RV purchase, with Tres Rios being the only offered location in Texas. This indicates that the resort is part of a larger network that provides benefits to its members. However, a potential drawback mentioned by a recent visitor is the close proximity of the campsites, which could detract from privacy and the overall camping experience. Additionally, the pull-through sites are gravel, which one reviewer noted made leveling their RV "a little bit of a pain." The unreliable WiFi is another feature that could be improved.
The customer reviews provide a mixed but informative perspective on Tres Rios Resort. A long-term member of six years expresses strong satisfaction, highlighting the family-friendly amenities, friendly staff, and relaxing atmosphere. This suggests that for members who utilize the resort frequently, it can be a worthwhile experience. However, a more recent first-time visitor offers a more nuanced view, giving the resort four out of five stars. They praised the friendly staff and the initial welcome but cited the unreliable WiFi and the closely spaced campsites as the primary reasons for not giving a perfect score. They also noted the inconvenience of the gravel pull-through sites for leveling. This reviewer's experience was tied to a promotional offer of free nights associated with an RV purchase, indicating a potential avenue for new guests to experience the resort.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Glen Rose, Texas, Tres Rios Resort presents a membership-based option that may offer benefits through Ocean Canyon Properties. The positive feedback regarding the staff and family-oriented amenities suggests that it could be a good choice for families who anticipate regular use of the resort and its network. However, the concerns about the close campsites and unreliable WiFi are important factors to consider, especially for those who value space and connectivity. The mention of a "Presentation" involving a "giant sales pitch to get us to commit to a year round membership" is a crucial piece of information for potential visitors utilizing promotional stays. This suggests that while introductory offers might be available, the underlying model is geared towards long-term membership commitments.
The review mentioning the "Presentation" can be considered a form of promotional information. The offer of "21 free nights through Ocean Canyon Resort" tied to an RV purchase also acts as a promotion to attract potential members. It is important for anyone considering a stay at Tres Rios Resort, especially through such offers, to be aware of the membership sales aspect and to carefully consider the terms and benefits of a long-term commitment before making any decisions. The value of the membership would likely depend on the frequency of use and the availability of other resorts within the Ocean Canyon Properties network that are appealing to the individual or family.
In conclusion, Tres Rios Resort in Glen Rose, Texas, offers a membership-based RV experience with a focus on family-friendly amenities and a welcoming staff. The lakeside location in a quiet, country setting can be appealing. However, potential guests should be aware of the closely spaced campsites and the reported issues with the unreliable WiFi. The resort's affiliation with Ocean Canyon Properties and the emphasis on membership are key aspects to consider, particularly for those utilizing promotional stays that may involve a sales presentation. Local users looking for "RV parks near me" should weigh the positive feedback about the staff and family activities against the concerns about site density and connectivity, and be prepared for a potential membership sales pitch if utilizing an introductory offer. Thoroughly understanding the membership model and its associated costs and benefits is crucial before committing to Tres Rios Resort.

Tres Rios Resort Reviews
We joined Tres Rios (Ocean Canyon Properties) about 6 years ago and we love it. My granddaughter often comes with me and she loves the pool and games and crafts they offer. Staff are always friendly and helpful. It's quiet and relaxing.
Apr 23, 2025 · Heidi HuieWe recently bought a camper from Fun Town RV and we were offered 21 free nights through Ocean Canyon Resort, with Tres Rios being the only place offered in Texas. It is our first RV so we figured “Why not?”We arrived around 7pm and were still greeted with kindness. They showed us right to our site and the setup began. Let me tell you, first time setting up and had no clue what we were doing so thank you to the gentleman next to us that helped. The staff the following morning was pretty nice, welcoming and answered any questions we had. The only reason this place is getting 4 stars instead of 5 is simply the fact the “free WiFi” doesn’t really work and the camp sites are literally right on top of one another. It would be nice if the pull through sites were concrete instead of gravel because leveling was a little bit of a pain in the butt. The WiFi keeps disconnecting so if you plan on using streaming services, good luck. We try not to use electronics while camping, but with two kids, they got bored easily and began to drive us nuts, so a TV would have been nice to occupy their time.Overall, wasn’t bad. I may be posting this prematurely because we check out tomorrow and it’s also when we receive our “Presentation”, which I’ve been told is a giant sales pitch to get us to commit to a year round membership.
Feb 16, 2025 · Justin JacobsonVery friendly RV park, some outdated playground area, but our son still had fun. This is a private RV resort, our first time there, they are undergoing some construction on the roads. It was probably the only downfall for us, a lot of dust but it was also a very windy time. Besides that if I can go again I surely would
