You can reach them at (817) 933-4227 or their mobile number +1 817-933-4227 to inquire about availability and discover the rustic charm and scenic beauty that this park provides. Based on recent customer reviews, Brazos River Hideout prioritizes its stunning location and spacious sites, offering a different kind of RV experience for those who value nature and river access.
One reviewer aptly described Brazos River Hideout as "rustic." This immediately sets the expectation for a more natural and perhaps less amenity-focused park compared to some of its counterparts. However, this rustic nature is easily overlooked by many due to the park's prime feature: "spacious" campsites that are "right on the river with beautiful river beach." This direct riverfront access and the availability of a beach area are significant draws for those seeking a genuine outdoor experience. Imagine parking your RV just steps away from the Brazos River, with ample space to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
It's important to note, as the same reviewer pointed out, that the facilities at Brazos River Hideout are "lacking." Specifically, there is "no sewer" hookup at the sites, and the adjacent bathrooms are "portables." Additionally, the water source is from a "local well." These are crucial pieces of information for potential guests to consider based on their comfort levels and the requirements of their RV setup. For those with RVs equipped for dry camping or who are comfortable with portable restrooms, the allure of the riverside location might outweigh these limitations.
Despite the more basic facilities, the desirable location of the campsites is a significant advantage. The reviewer stated that what they described was "so easy to overlook because the sites were desirable in location." This highlights the primary appeal of Brazos River Hideout: the opportunity to camp directly on the banks of a beautiful river. The reviewer also noted that the "Electric power was clean," which is an essential amenity for most RVers. Furthermore, they praised the "neighbors" as being "great" and the "hosts" as "awesome," indicating a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere within the park.
The reviewer concluded by stating, "We will be back," a strong testament to their positive experience despite the rustic facilities. This suggests that for those who prioritize a stunning natural setting and a friendly community, Brazos River Hideout offers a worthwhile experience.
Another guest echoed the positive sentiment, stating, "We really enjoyed our short time here." They specifically appreciated the "well shaded" spot they were in, highlighting the comfort provided by the natural tree cover. The park is also described as "nice small quiet," further emphasizing the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere that many seek when looking for "RV parks near me" for a getaway.
The natural beauty of the location extends beyond the river itself, with the guest mentioning "Beautiful stars and fireflies!" This paints a picture of a serene environment where one can truly appreciate the night sky and the natural wildlife. The easy "Access to the river" was also a major plus, allowing for recreational activities such as "kids enrolling on the tube in the river." This suggests that the river is suitable and accessible for water-based fun, making it an ideal spot for families or anyone who enjoys being on or near the water.
This guest was also enthusiastic about returning, stating, "Looking forward to the next trip - already picked the spots we’d like." This level of satisfaction and planning for future visits underscores the positive impression Brazos River Hideout left on them.

Brazos River Hideout Reviews
This park is rustic. But the sites are spacious and right on the river with beautiful river beach. The facilities are lacking, no sewer and the adjacent bathrooms are portables. The water is from a local well. What I've described was so easy to overlook because the sites were desirable in location. Electric power was clean, neighbors were great. The hosts were awesome as well. We will be back
Jan 20, 2025 · Randall PitcockWe really enjoyed our short time here. The spot we were in was well shaded, nice small quiet park. Beautiful stars and fireflies! Access to the river was easy and the kids enrolling on the tube in the river. Looking forward to the next trip - already picked the spots we’d like.
Sep 29, 2024 · Jerri PowellIt's really a great place to get away. River is right. their cabin is cozy fishing was fun. When it's warmer going down the river would be great.
Feb 23, 2025 · George KelseyBest hidden gem!! Planned to stay for 5 days and ended up extending it another 3 days. I would have stayed longer if I didnt have to go to work! Management aka Patrick went above and beyond to help us as it was our first outting with the RV. He took us daily and dropped us up river to float. We fished, cooked out and counted stars while eating s'mores. The sites had everything we could ever need. We will go back as soon as I can take another break from adulting and I can't wait!!!
Jun 20, 2024 · Pam FieldsOur husband and I found this place online. So glad we did!!! “It’s a hidden gem”. Almost every spot has access and views to the river. This place is so beautiful! Not as crowded as your traditional campsites. The hosts Bob and Peggy are super nice and helpful. They will drive you to your campsite and help with draining septic. There is a spot to drive down to river but you MUST HAVE 4WD!!! Or you WILL get stuck. My husbands truck battery died and Bob came down there to help jump us. Beautiful campsite and awesome customer service. We will be back!! Can’t wait to brag on them. ❤️
