Thousand Trails Colorado River Reviews
Loved it here. The staff is great and welcoming. Hamburgers, hot dogs and Bingo was fun. I enjoyed gathering with other RVers. The park is huge. LOVE LOVE LOVE watching the beautiful deer frolic around. Not much going on around town, like attractions, etc. but no fault of the park. My only suggestuon would be to maintain the grass a bit more. The grass is super high around the sites, common areas, and open grassy areas where kids and animals may want to play. And TONS of red ant mounds all over. I definitely recommend this park and will stay again if passing through. Happy camping and safe travels 😊🚌
May 01, 2025 · RV AdventurerGreat campground east of San Antonio. Easy check in with helpful staff. Spacious sites with paved roads and gravel parking sites. Quiet and great view close to the Colorado River. For an excellent dining experience visit this Lamberto’s in downtown Columbus for a great Italian dinner. Smaller size dining rooms in a Victorian style atmosphere make for quiet dining. The Lamb Lollipops were excellent!
Jan 27, 2025 · Jean GaviganThe campground was fine, but I was disappointed with the website and email confirmation that check-in was available until 9:00 p.m., despite the office’s closing at 5:00 p.m. The office hours have been updated using a Sharpie on a piece of paper. We made a last-minute reservation, which was accepted by the system. However, I was unable to clarify the check-in times with the office. Upon arrival, we discovered that the office was closed. Fortunately, Kent, an employee mowing the lawn, assisted us in resolving the issue. He located our voicemail and reservation in the computer system and checked us in. I am grateful for Kent’s assistance, but I am disappointed that the company has not updated its website and check-in information regarding office hours and check-in times. A small effort would be beneficial in preventing similar issues from occurring in the future.
Apr 23, 2025 · DawnieVery quiet and love the deer. There are SO MANY deer here. I'm taking 10+ everything we come across them. They are so delightful. Nice walking trail by the Colorado. And the Activity Center is very well stocked with games & books. Outdoor courts & balls readily available. Not the prettiest but it's quiet and fellow campers are friendly. Off the highway!!!
Dec 21, 2024 · S. K. KnightWe've been in yrs past and enjoyed it but last 2 yrs they have a hard time getting help. Grass is very long with large thistles. There are mounds of fire ants the so kids and pats need to be careful when playing.
