Thousand Trails Medina Lake Reviews
We travel in an RV. The campground is nice it’s definitely a wilderness experience. They have full hook ups in sites are fairly level. Bicycles or golf carts would be recommended to tour around the campground. They have walking trails, bike trails very scenic. There is no Internet connection at your sites. If you need Internet, you have to go to the clubhouse, which is not that difficult. The cabins are older, but they appear to be in good condition. Expect to see lots of wildlife while we were there we saw lots of deer, wild turkey, and a few raccoons. The 5000 acre lake has dried up due to drought, pumping water for agriculture and the development of housing in and around the San Antonio, Texas area.
Apr 23, 2025 · Scott JamesThis park is the absolute BEST place you could possibly chose to go outside city limits. The wild life and scenery are more than you’ll ever be able to put into words! It’s quiet and natural all around. The employees are flexible and are helpful above and beyond, if given the chance. Randi, has always been so kind to my family and gone out of her way to ensure our stay is homey and comfortable. You’ll never experience a park quit like this. Worth every penny and every minute.
Feb 08, 2025 · camilla perezAs of Feb 2025, the pothole concerns appear to be greatly improved. There is still room for more fill-in work. However, or 32VS SOUTHWIND never hit one major pothole on the way to F-Section. Water pressure is very good, 50A Electrical gave 118-121V. Our NET is internal. Please be aware that Laundry is provided via an old shack building with 6 very good washers, as well as 6 good dryers. There is only one laundry hut. It's a very serious walk from F-Section and operates on an APP. The machines will take card-swipe.On the upside, it's very peaceful. The surroundings and animals are beautiful. Our site was well maintained. I would definitely visit again. The staff are also very friendly and professional.DOWNSIDE: This only pertains if you're there a while. The town is close by, but not much for supplies, propane, or fuel. There is a small grocery store and a Dollar General, and that helps. But please look at expiration dates on what you buy.
Feb 11, 2025 · Peter MorganLovely, peaceful spot to camp. Lots of deer strolling around, trails to walk the pup and bike ride. Definitely will return. Roads in the park are pretty worn in areas but we just took it slow and easy.
Feb 16, 2025 · J HintyThis is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed here, but I think this will be our last. They are finally working to improve the sites by upgrading the sewer connections and the electrical boxes, although our monitoring system is throwing us warnings, and the water pressure is less than half what it should be. Also, the sites are not level, and the roads are still horrendous, becoming dangerous to navigate with no maintenance. I love the wildlife, the weather, the nature surrounding us, and the walking trails. It pains me to write a bad review, but we will not be back until they resolve these significant issues.
