U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kendall Campground Reviews
Very nice camp. Site 17 is a little challenging to back a large rig into. Most sires have plenty of room and wide paved roads in this campground.
Apr 17, 2025 · Gordon EcclesNot a hotel, but a campground. That being said. The campsites are oddly shaped. My 16 ft. Camper barely fit my site, whereas others next to it were almost 3 times the size. And they are also very close in proximity to each other. Depending on which area of the campground you book, determines how much space you have. It varies throughout the campground. However the people are friendly. But the maintenance crew doesn't maintain the campsites very well. The campsite fire pit next to mine was used as a trash bin and nobody came by to clean the site after the previous person had left.
Nov 10, 2024 · Steve CoffmanMy family visits this campground often and always talks about how nice it is, so I decided to vacation here as well. We stayed in Site 107 in the Annex campground at Kendall. The site was big and spacious with plenty of room between campers. All of the sites around me looked well kept and the area was very peaceful. Restrooms were kept clean during our stay and the showers had plenty of hot water.
Sep 17, 2024 · Elaine EggenspillerVery disappointed. Today we checked out of Kendall COE campground in Jamestown Ky. We stayed at site 73, in the older section of campground. We read a lot of positive reviews and watched a video on our camp site that someone posted. I know everyone looks for something different when it comes to camping. We like a peaceful, private and clean place to camp. We didn't get any of this here. Before setting up our camper I walked over to the main restroom. I wasn't sure if this campground was for us or not after going in. There was toilet paper all over the floor and one of the showers had poop by the shower drain. Apparently there were questionable people staying there as well. The shower curtains were old and moldy. The whole building was outdated. The campsites are closer than what we like. Videos online looked better than actually being there. The people next to us had a dog (Leo), bad when we know it's name, that constantly yip-yapped every time you moved. The people would tell their dog to stop but it wouldn't stop and they would rarely take it in when barking. Kids were everywhere and there was a lot of noise until about 10pm. The best part of our stay was visiting the fish hatchery next door and eating at Big Daddy's, just outside the gate. They had really good food. Just wanted to inform you of our experience. We are now at Duckett COE in Gainesville, GA. It's exactly what we look for. Campsites are farther apart and very quiet. No shady people and a very clean campground!
