You can reach them by phone at (601) 657-1001 or their mobile number +1 601-657-1001. Based on customer reviews, Vance Park provides a peaceful, wooded setting and access to a trail system, although maintenance appears to be an area needing attention. For those who appreciate a tranquil environment and are aware of the trail conditions, Vance Park could be a worthwhile local option.
The environment of Vance Park is described by one reviewer as a "quiet park tucked away in the trees." This suggests a setting characterized by woodland, offering shade and a sense of seclusion. For those seeking a peaceful escape into nature, the quiet and wooded atmosphere of Vance Park could be quite appealing. Another reviewer, who visited specifically for hiking, noted the presence of a trail system comprising three trails (blue, orange, and presumably another, implied by the route taken). This indicates that the park offers opportunities for walking and exploring the natural surroundings. While the beauty of a wooded park is generally appreciated, it's important to consider the specific conditions reported by visitors.
In terms of services and features, the information available is somewhat mixed. One positive aspect mentioned is the overall "great value" of the park, suggesting that it might be an affordable option for a local getaway. However, a notable drawback mentioned by a camper was the absence of laundry facilities on-site, requiring a drive to McComb for this service. Regarding the hiking trails, while their existence is a feature, a reviewer pointed out that "the trails were clearly not maintained." Despite this, they noted that there were "enough signs posted for us to make our way around" initially. However, further into the trails, they became "totally impassable." The trail system also includes "several bridge crossings," but concerningly, "the planks were rotting under the build up of leaves." The reviewer described how "the boards sank and cracked under our steps," and the layer of unmaintained leaves made it difficult to discern safe footing. This suggests that while hiking is possible, caution is strongly advised due to the condition of the trails and bridges. The reviews do not mention other typical campground amenities like restrooms, showers, or picnic areas, so it's unclear what other facilities are available at Vance Park.
A key feature of Vance Park for local users appears to be its quiet, wooded environment, which offers a peaceful retreat into nature. The presence of a trail system is also a feature that could attract hikers. However, it is crucial to note the reported lack of trail maintenance and the potentially hazardous condition of the bridges. For those primarily seeking a quiet camping spot amongst the trees and are aware of the trail conditions, Vance Park might still hold appeal, especially given its perceived "great value." However, individuals looking for well-maintained hiking trails might need to consider other options in the area. The absence of laundry facilities on-site is another factor for potential campers to consider, particularly for longer stays.
Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not include any specific discounts or special offers for Vance Park. The "great value" mentioned by one reviewer could be seen as an implicit positive aspect for budget-conscious local campers. To inquire about camping fees, the availability of campsites, and the current condition of the trails, contacting Vance Park directly at (601) 657-1001 would be advisable. They may be able to provide more up-to-date information on the park's amenities and any plans for trail maintenance. For local residents, the quiet, wooded setting and the presence of hiking opportunities, despite their current condition, might be enough of a draw for a nearby nature experience.
In conclusion, Vance Park in Liberty, MS, offers a quiet and wooded environment for those seeking "camping near me." It features a trail system for hiking, although visitors should be aware that the trails are reportedly not well-maintained, with potential hazards like rotting bridge planks. The park is noted for its overall "great value." However, it lacks on-site laundry facilities. For local users who prioritize a peaceful natural setting and are cautious about the trail conditions, Vance Park could be a viable option. Contact them at (601) 657-1001 to get more information about the park and its current status before planning your visit.

Vance Park Reviews
Quiet park tucked away in the trees. Enjoyed our stay. Only negative was no laundry, had to drive to McComb. But an overall great value
Oct 21, 2023 · Jennifer White ScottI searched for a hiking trail and found this park. There were 3 trails that made up a trail system. We took the blue trail to the orange trail. The trails were clearly not maintained, but there was enough signs posted for us to make our way around. A few miles in, and it was totally impassable. I think we made it close to the yellow dot on the map, but couldn't go further. There was also several bridge crossings, but the planks were rotting under the build up of leaves. The boards sank and cracked under our steps, but the unmaintained layer of leaves made it impossible to see where was safe to step.
