Wade Lake Campground and Picnic Areas Reviews
This place is absolutely beautiful. 25 camp sites, and we booked ours a year out. They have vault toilets and drinking water. Some sites are small, and you won't be able to fit an rv or camper. So look at a map of them before booking. Easy access to the lake and day use areas. Stocked with trout to fish. No cell service, but you can get it if you are right by the boat launch! We stayed for 4 nights and wish we had time for more. Our dogs also had a blast.
Aug 20, 2024 · Brandon LefortBeautiful campground on lake (stay lower tier if you can - we were #3, but 4 and 5 are also on the lake). Perfect for kayak, SUP and swimming as is a no wake lake. Chilly for my swims but had a wetsuit. Sadly lots of places booked but were ‘no shows’ - people, cancel if you are not using your spot so others can enjoy! Also Crike Lake CG and Upper CG if place is full. I imagine it is busy in peak summer and weekends.
Aug 26, 2024 · Di RogeWe just went for the day use area. However, we definitely want to camp there after checking out the campsites. Not all are good for trailers. I would definitely do some research before choosing a spot to reserve. However, the lake is amazingly clear and great for paddle boards. Get the early for a spot on the beach.
Jul 22, 2024 · David RamosWhat an absolutely great place. We went to see the lake and eat lunch. The tent sites were very spacious and they provided bear food lockers. The day use area only has 3 picnic tables so plan on bringing your own chairs. There were a lot of families there and the kids were all living the water, paddle boarding and kayaking. Weather was perfect. We plan on going back but will reserve a campsite.
Jul 27, 2022 · Donna SmithTrailers over 25' may have a hard time find a good spot on the upper loop. There are a couple of pull through sites, but they aren't large. Water spigots do not have threads, so a hose cannot be connected. Most sites not on the shore are very shaded. I got a few hours of sun on my solar panels in site 19. Vault toilets were clean. Fishing at Wade and Cliff lakes was very good.
