Whitcomb Creek County Park Reviews
Furst off, the campground is beautiful! We stayed in one of the deluxe yurts, the peace and quiet was definitely worth it! Be forewarned, no electricity, no heat, no showers/sinks, and the running water tastes like rusty pipes! (Boil only). We went at a time the lake was drained, so we were not able to swim or otherwise get on the water. All that aside, it was a wonderful place to get away from the stress of everyday life and would highly recommend!
Oct 10, 2024 · Daniel SmithGreat camping spot. We were there for labor day weekend camping the spot we got seemed on the small size but we will made it work. They have nice cement slabs with a fire pit and a picnic table. Unfortunately the water was too low when we were there, so we ended up driving to the Foster day use area for swimming.Overall a well kept campsite. There is no running water but they do offer "restrooms". Just be prepared with lots of your own water.
Sep 16, 2024 · Anna Marie FreemanWe used the day use area to park on paddle board. A windy day but once you get around the corner of the boat dock, there are pretty little coves with calm water
Jul 16, 2024 · Mary SwindlingIt's so beautiful over here!! Anywhere along this corridor is so nice and peaceful. The water is so clean and clear!! I love rocks, so this is a perfect place for me and my friends and family to come hang out. You can camp, swim, pan for gold and if your lucky maybe find gold, either way these are all fun experiences to have with your family and friends. Everybody I've met seems very nice and friendly. It's a nice break from everyday life!!!
Jun 23, 2019 · A.L. YoungGood camping area, sites are very close together and kinda pricey for camping. There are also Yurts available to reserve This place has alot of RVs spots so be prepared to wake up to the soothing sound of generators drilling into your brain fist thing. There is a boat ramp close by and another one a short drive away (Thistle Creek) that should be open for low water conditions. If you have any questions don't waste your time calling Linn County Parks and Rec. They do not answer the phone and you will be sitting on hold for 1/2 hour, then it will prompt you to leave a voice mail saying they will call you back within 48 hours which won't happen. Bathrooms tend to run out of toilet paper and the doors on some of them do not lock. It's a good idea to have a buddy stand guard for you.
