Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging Introduce
For anyone searching "Camping Near Me" with an eye toward the stunning natural beauty of Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging presents itself as a prime destination. Located at 20450 Old Hwy 120, Groveland, CA 95321, USA, this establishment offers a diverse range of accommodations, catering to a wide spectrum of campers, from those traveling in their RVs to families seeking a unique glamping or cabin experience. You can reach them by phone at (209) 962-7690 or +1 209-962-7690.
Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging boasts a strategically advantageous location for visitors to Yosemite National Park. Its proximity to the Yosemite NP entrance on Highway 120 is a significant draw, as this entrance is generally less busy compared to the Yosemite Valley entrances. This allows for more convenient and often quicker access to the park's iconic sights and trails, a crucial factor for maximizing time in such a popular destination. The setting in Groveland, California, positions the resort amidst the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada foothills, offering a blend of serene surroundings and convenient access to the park.
The overall environment of the campground is designed to immerse visitors in a rustic, natural setting. While not all sites may be perfectly level, as noted by a reviewer regarding Section A's electric/water sites, the resort strives to provide a true camping experience. The natural landscape around the resort likely features a mix of trees and open spaces, offering a sense of seclusion while still being part of a larger community. Being close to Yosemite, guests can anticipate a fresh mountain air, starry nights, and the sounds of nature, creating an authentic outdoor experience.
Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging prides itself on offering a variety of lodging options to suit different preferences and budgets. This versatility is a key feature that sets it apart. For RV enthusiasts, they provide:
- Electric/Water Sites: These sites offer essential hookups for RVs, though some in Section A may present leveling challenges for larger vehicles.
- Full Hookup Sites: For those desiring complete convenience, full hookup sites include electricity, water, and sewer connections.
Beyond RV sites, the resort expands its appeal with a range of unique lodging choices, making it suitable for families and groups who might not own an RV:
- Cabins: Offering a more traditional lodging experience, cabins provide a comfortable stay with amenities often including beds, heating, and sometimes private bathrooms and kitchens.
- Wagon Tents: These unique accommodations offer a blend of camping and comfort, reminiscent of pioneer wagons, providing a memorable and distinctive stay.
- Yurts: Round, tent-like structures, yurts offer a semi-permanent camping experience with solid floors and often more amenities than a traditional tent, providing a comfortable and unique glamping option.
The resort also provides essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests can expect:
- Swimming Pool: A pool is available, providing a refreshing escape, especially during warmer months. It's important to note, as a reviewer mentioned, that the pool is typically closed during the winter season.
- Clean Showers/Bathrooms: Reviews highlight the cleanliness and good maintenance of the shower and bathroom facilities, which is crucial for any campground experience.
- Laundry Facility: An on-site laundry facility adds convenience for guests, particularly those on longer trips.
- Good Sam's Discount: The availability of a Good Sam's discount is a valuable perk for members, offering savings on their stay.
Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging caters to a broad audience, encompassing RVers, families, and individuals seeking an immersive experience near Yosemite National Park. Its inclusion of diverse lodging options like cabins, wagon tents, and yurts means it's not solely for those with RVs but also for people looking for a unique "glamping" or rustic lodging experience. The "Family Lodging" in its name directly indicates its appeal to families, suggesting amenities and an environment suitable for all ages.
The resort's promotion implicitly emphasizes its strategic location as a gateway to Yosemite, positioning itself as a convenient base for exploring the park. By offering a variety of accommodations, it appeals to those who want a blend of outdoor adventure and comfort. The mention of the Good Sam's discount is a direct appeal to a specific segment of the RV community, highlighting its value and recognition within that network.
While many aspects of Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging are well-received, as with any popular destination, some points warrant consideration based on customer feedback. Positive reviews frequently highlight the convenient location relative to Yosemite, the range of accommodation options, and the clean and well-maintained communal facilities like showers and laundry.
However, it's crucial to address areas where improvements have been suggested. One review notably distinguishes the experience from "glamping," detailing issues such as yellow and unclean water from the kitchen faucet, dead insects, poorly cleaned pots and pans, uncomfortable sleeping cushions, and "inept customer service" in a specific lodging unit, costing $200 a night. This feedback suggests that while the communal facilities may be well-maintained, the cleanliness and quality of specific individual lodging units, particularly cabins or yurts, can vary and may not always meet expectations for the price point. The issue of water quality is also a significant concern that prospective visitors should be aware of. The leveling of certain RV sites also came up as a practical challenge for some guests. This indicates that while the resort offers a wide array of options, guests should manage their expectations regarding the level of luxury or pristine conditions in certain accommodations, especially if they are expecting a "glamping" experience that prioritizes spotless, high-end amenities.
Despite these critical points, the resort's fundamental strengths – its location, variety of accommodations, and communal amenities – remain strong draws. For those searching "Camping Near Me" and prioritizing proximity to Yosemite National Park, alongside options for both RVs and unique lodging, Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging offers a compelling choice. It serves as a practical and accessible base for exploring one of America's most beloved national parks, with a range of facilities designed to make a camping or lodging experience enjoyable, provided visitors are aware of the potential for variability in individual unit conditions.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging Reviews
Overall this is a great campground. They offer Good Sam's discount, and have electric/water sites as well as full hookups. They also have cabins, wagon tents, and yurts available.Their electric/ water sites in section A are not very level. I had problems finding a site where I could sufficiently level my 32' motorhome (site 2 worked!).They have a pool (closed for winter)Showers/bathrooms and a laundry facility were clean and well maintained. The campground is conveniently located near the Yosemite NP entrance on hwy 120 which is not as busy as the Yosemite Valley entrances to the park.
Apr 22, 2025 · Cathy ConnorsThis is NOT GLAMPING! The cup of water came out of the kitchen faucet and was yellow. It was NOT clean. For $200 a night the place should have been spotless. Dead insects on window area, poorly cleaned pots and pans. Horribly uncomfortable cusions to sleep on. Inept customer service.
Apr 16, 2025 · Tamara DehnertTent camped here for close access to Yosemite National park. The camp site we had with water and electric in Loop A was close to the restroom/laundry and pool. Pool was cleaned daily and kept nice. Restrooms and showers were clean and working. This location was great because it's close to the grocery store and little town. We bought our lunches and dinners there when we wanted to cook. The only bummer was that the animal petting area was no longer going as we had thought by looking at previous pictures posted on google. Still a great stay and if I return to Yosemite, would book here again! 5 stars!
Aug 13, 2024 · S GWe stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. We were welcomed warmly by Deli at check in. The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. We spent time at the pool and used the showers. All were perfect!Got to know Link, the maintenance man who was friendly and takes great care of the place. The location was perfect, not a long drive to the entrance of Yosemite Park. Nothing but good to say here!
Sep 06, 2024 · jennifer millerGorgeous location, got one of the campsites spur of the moment as we were just looking through Yosemite for anything open and available, and well worth the price.Staff is friendly, campgrounds are kept up and plenty of options to choose from, with RV parking, campsites and the glamping options available.Definitely will come back if in the area and do recommend!Photo was near our campsite where we had a silent visitor, had to shoo him off from taking food from a neighbors camp. 🙂
