Based on the limited available customer reviews, Yurt Village offers a memorable outdoor experience, even in challenging weather conditions, and can be a cost-effective alternative to local hotels for those who enjoy the outdoors.
The environment of Yurt Village is likely characterized by its location in Hammond, Oregon. Hammond is situated near the mouth of the Columbia River, close to the Pacific Ocean, suggesting a coastal environment that could feature proximity to beaches, estuaries, and potentially forested areas. The specific environment within Yurt Village would involve the arrangement of the yurts themselves, the surrounding landscape, and any communal areas. Yurts offer a unique blend of outdoor immersion and structural comfort, providing more protection from the elements than a standard tent. The layout of Yurt Village might include individual yurt sites spaced to offer some degree of privacy, along with pathways connecting them to any shared facilities. The presence of natural features like trees or views of the surrounding landscape would contribute to the overall ambiance. Given the positive review mentioning enjoyment "even with gale force winds and rain," the yurts themselves appear to offer robust shelter against inclement weather, suggesting a sturdy and reliable structure for those seeking camping near the Oregon coast, where weather can be unpredictable.
While detailed information regarding the services offered at Yurt Village is not extensively provided in the available data, we can infer some likely amenities based on the concept of yurt camping and the positive feedback received. - The yurts themselves, equipped with basic furnishings such as beds or sleeping platforms. The size and capacity of the yurts may vary.
- Access to restroom and shower facilities. The quality and cleanliness of these facilities are often important factors for campers.
- Potable water sources for drinking and hygiene.
- As indicated by one review mentioning enjoyment of the "fire pit," it is highly likely that each yurt site or a communal area includes a fire pit for campfires and outdoor cooking.
- Potentially picnic tables or outdoor seating areas at each yurt site.
- Waste disposal facilities to maintain the cleanliness of the campground.
- Parking areas for guests' vehicles.
Given the cost-effectiveness mentioned in one review compared to a local hotel, the amenities provided likely focus on the essential comforts for an enjoyable outdoor stay without the full services of a hotel. Yurt Village Reviews
It was wonderful, even with gale force winds and rain.
Dec 07, 2023 · Santa BestA very cost effective option we tried compared to a local hotel! There again we like the outdoors and enjoy the fire pit!!
Oct 03, 2019 · Ken JonesI love camping in yurts and most of the Oregon State Park yurts are really nice. This one, however, has seen better days. The flooring was uneven and the zippers on our window flaps were broken, with curtains that were too small to cover the opening. There were bungie cords to keep one window closed, but we weren't so lucky with the other one. Also, the heater looked like maybe it had caught on fire at one point?? Definitely had scorch marks coming out out of the top... But the firepit was nice and the bathrooms are clean.
