Abbey Court Introduce
Are you searching for a mobile home community in the Dublin, Virginia area? Abbey Court, located at 5982 Old Rte 11 Lot 64, Dublin, VA 24084, USA, is a mobile home park that may offer various housing options. While categorized under 'RV Parks Near Me' due to the broader nature of platforms listing various types of residential and recreational vehicle accommodations, Abbey Court primarily functions as a mobile home park. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed overview of Abbey Court, combining available information, including real customer reviews, to offer an objective perspective on its environment, services, and features.
Understanding the Environment and Location of Abbey Court
Abbey Court is situated off Old Route 11 in Dublin, Virginia. This location suggests a setting that is likely accessible by a main road, potentially offering a balance between community living and connectivity to the surrounding area. Dublin, Virginia, is located in the southwestern part of the state, within Pulaski County. The environment around Dublin is characterized by the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the New River Valley. Residents of Abbey Court can potentially enjoy the natural landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities that this region offers. However, specific details about the immediate surroundings of Abbey Court, such as landscaping within the park or proximity to specific natural attractions, are not readily available. One review mentions that the park appears "very rundown," suggesting that the overall aesthetic and maintenance of the grounds might be a concern for some. While some individual trailers within the park are noted to be well-maintained, this seems to be attributed to individual ownership rather than park management. The presence of dust is not mentioned in the second review, but the general impression of the park's upkeep seems to be a key environmental factor to consider based on the first review.
Services and Potential Amenities at Abbey Court
Based on the customer reviews, Abbey Court offers a few notable services and potential amenities. One significant aspect is the availability of individual mailboxes with locks at a central location, providing a secure way for residents to receive mail. The park also has a basketball net located at the first turn into the community, which serves as a recreational amenity for children and teens residing in Abbey Court. Water and general utilities are expected to be provided to the lots, as residents pay "lot rent," which typically covers these essential services. The reviews indicate that you can potentially rent a mobile home if one is available, and sometimes there might be options for a rent-to-own arrangement. For specific details on rental availability and terms, contacting the property owner directly at (540) 980-3550 or +1 540-980-3550 is recommended. While not explicitly listed as a service by the park management in the reviews, the presence of children and teens suggests a community with families. However, a significant lack of upkeep and potentially substandard rental units, as mentioned in one review, could detract from the overall quality of services and living conditions within the park. The absence of specific amenities like laundry facilities, community centers, or organized activities is also implied by the lack of mention in the reviews.
Features and Community Aspects of Abbey Court
Abbey Court is described as a "small community or area of mobile homes/trailers." This suggests a relatively close-knit environment where residents live in proximity to one another. The opportunity to rent a mobile home, purchase an existing one within the park, or even purchase a new mobile home (like from Clayton Homes) and have it set up on an available lot are key features for those seeking housing in this area. However, regardless of whether you rent or own the mobile home, the requirement to pay "lot rent" is a consistent feature. The park permits small dogs with owner permission, making it a potentially pet-friendly community for some. The lots are noted to be "not very big," which might be a consideration for those desiring more outdoor space. The presence of children and teens indicates a diverse age range within the community. One reviewer noted that most residents are friendly, particularly the older ones, which can contribute to a positive community atmosphere. However, the same review also mentions a "handful of troublemakers and mischief," suggesting that, like any community, Abbey Court is not without its challenges. For the most part, residents tend to keep to themselves in their single-wide mobile homes, indicating a degree of independent living within the community setting. The recommendation from one reviewer to consider purchasing land elsewhere if financially feasible highlights a potential perception that the long-term value and quality of living might be better outside of Abbey Court.
Potential Promotional Information and Availability
The provided information does not include any specific promotional offers for Abbey Court. For local users interested in renting or purchasing a mobile home or a lot at Abbey Court, the best course of action is to contact the property owner directly using the provided phone numbers: (540) 980-3550 or +1 540-980-3550. Inquiring about current availability of rental units or lots, as well as any potential rent-to-own options or financing for purchasing a mobile home, would be essential. Understanding the current lot rent fees and what services are included in that fee is also crucial. Given the review mentioning potentially overpriced and rundown rental units, it would be prudent to inquire about the condition of available homes and the terms of any rental or purchase agreements. While the 'RV Parks Near Me' platform might list Abbey Court, it is important to recognize that it primarily operates as a mobile home park, and any "promotions" would likely be related to rental rates, purchase incentives, or lot rent specials offered directly by the management, if any are available.
Summary and Considerations for Local Users
Abbey Court in Dublin, VA, presents itself as a small mobile home community offering rental and potential purchase options for mobile homes, as well as the possibility of bringing in a new mobile home to a rented lot. Key features include centrally located locked mailboxes and a basketball net for residents. The community is described as relatively safe and allows small dogs with permission. However, potential drawbacks highlighted by customer reviews include a general state of being "rundown," the existence of rental units in poor condition that may be overpriced, and small lot sizes. While some residents are friendly, and the drive-in access to lots can be convenient, the overall upkeep and quality of some housing within the park appear to be significant concerns. For local users considering Abbey Court, it is strongly recommended to contact the property owner directly to inquire about current availability, pricing (both for rent and lot rent), and the condition of any available mobile homes or lots. Visiting the park in person to assess its overall condition and the specific unit or lot of interest would also be a crucial step in making an informed decision. Weighing the affordability and community aspects against the reported issues of maintenance and unit quality will be essential for determining if Abbey Court meets your housing needs in the Dublin, Virginia area.

Abbey Court Reviews
Very rundown trailer park needs someone to run it who cares, also I know of at least one trailer they shouldn't even be allowed to rent but they are and charging quite a lot for it even though it could be condemned. Some of the trailers there look well taken care of but I feel like those are the ones the individual owns and lives in.
Oct 10, 2022 · Jennifer TeskeIt's located off Old RT 11. It is a small community or area of mobile homes/trailers. You can rent a mobile home, if one is available. Sometimes you can rent to own. You should call property owner for specifics. You can, also, purchase a mobile home that is already set up in the park or purchase one (I.e. Clayton Homes) and see if a lot is available. Whether you own the trailer or not--you do have to pay "lot rent".Honestly, if you have the money to purchase a mobile home--try to get a land package and not set up within Abbey Court. It's likely the safest and cleanest mobile home park with a basketball net at the first turn in for resident children. Everyone gets a mailbox that locks at a central location.Again, it's relatively safe. You can have small dogs with owner permission. The lots aren't very big. There are children and teens. Most residents are friendly, particularly the older ones. Of course, you have a handful of troublemakers and mischief going on.For the most part, everyone stays to themselves in their Single wides.I've never lived in the park but have visited relatives for many years. Thus, I think my review is valid.Let me know if this was helpful by giving it a big thumbs up!
Jun 03, 2019 · Candy SheetsThis place is well maintained the grounds are always kept up nicely. The home owners take care of their lots.
Oct 20, 2023 · Dean CAbbey Court is a rather large mobile home park that is located along Old Route 11. It is conveniently located about midway between Fairlawn and Dublin. It has public water and sewer service. I'm not sure what the rental rate is, but all the spaces seem to stay taken. The park is over 25 years old, but in great shape.
