Interstate RV Overnight Park Introduce
For local users in Christiansburg, Virginia, who are exploring options under the category 'RV Parks Near Me' for overnight or potentially longer stays, Interstate RV Overnight Park, located at 2705 Roanoke St, Christiansburg, VA 24073, USA, presents a facility that has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent visitors. Inquiries can be directed to (540) 616-4114 or +1 540-616-4114.
The available reviews paint a severely unfavorable picture of Interstate RV Overnight Park, with multiple visitors expressing strong dissatisfaction and recommending against staying there. One reviewer stated that if they could give less than one star, they would. Their initial experience involved encountering a building they assumed was the office, which turned out to be a "filthy laundry area" equipped with two dirty washers and dryers. Attached to this building were shower facilities described as "absolutely disgusting" and appearing as though they "hadn’t been cleaned in years." This immediately raises significant concerns about the hygiene and maintenance standards of the park's essential facilities.
Further attempts to locate the office led the same reviewer to a building identified by a sign as being at the "White House." This building is described as something the city should condemn, with an "overwhelmingly rancid" smell emanating from the porch, likened to the odor of a deceased person. The fact that no one answered either the phone or a knock at this building further suggests issues with accessibility and the presence of on-site management.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer who initially called to inquire about rates was told by the park manager, identified as Alex Hicks, that payment for overnight stays was "CASH ONLY." This unusual payment requirement raises questions about the park's financial practices and transparency, prompting the reviewer to wonder if the park owners were aware of this policy.
Another visitor echoed the negative sentiments, describing Interstate RV Overnight Park as a "sad excuse for an RV park." Their feedback highlighted the presence of "trash and cats everywhere," indicating a lack of cleanliness and potential issues with pest control. They also noted that grass cutting in individual areas was the responsibility of the RV owners themselves, suggesting a lack of grounds maintenance by the park management. The problem with stray cats was further elaborated upon, with claims that they climb on and urinate on RVs and live underneath them, creating unsanitary conditions and potential damage to vehicles.
The second reviewer also corroborated the issue of poor management, describing the manager as "lazy and rarely around." This lack of visible and responsive management likely contributes to the overall state of disrepair and uncleanliness reported. The laundry area was again mentioned as being "filthy and full of flies," reinforcing the earlier description of unsanitary facilities.
Despite the apparent lack of maintenance and poor conditions, the second reviewer reported that their rent had been raised twice in two months, with no corresponding improvements in the park's upkeep. This discrepancy between increasing costs and deteriorating conditions further underscores the negative experience of staying at Interstate RV Overnight Park.
Considering the environment of Interstate RV Overnight Park based on these reviews, the picture is far from appealing. The presence of trash, stray cats, and unkempt grounds suggests a lack of attention to basic cleanliness and maintenance. The description of the laundry and shower facilities as filthy and uncleaned for years paints a picture of a potentially unsanitary and unpleasant living environment. The "White House" office being in a state of disrepair with a foul odor further detracts from any sense of welcome or professional management.
Information regarding services at Interstate RV Overnight Park is limited and largely negative. While laundry and shower facilities are mentioned, their poor condition renders them likely unusable or at least highly undesirable. The lack of grounds maintenance implies that RV owners are responsible for maintaining their own spaces. The alleged lack of consistent management presence further suggests that other potential services, such as assistance with issues or enforcement of park rules, may be lacking.
The features of Interstate RV Overnight Park, as perceived through these reviews, are predominantly negative. The only potential feature is its location on Roanoke St in Christiansburg, which might offer proximity to local amenities or the interstate for overnight travelers. However, this potential convenience is heavily overshadowed by the reported filth, lack of maintenance, stray animal issues, and questionable management practices. The "cash only" payment policy for overnight stays could also be considered a feature, albeit a potentially inconvenient and concerning one for many travelers.
Promotional information is entirely absent in this context. The overwhelmingly negative reviews serve as a strong deterrent rather than any form of positive advertisement. For local users exploring 'RV Parks Near Me', this feedback strongly advises against considering Interstate RV Overnight Park for either overnight or longer stays.
For local users actively searching for RV parks in Christiansburg, VA, Interstate RV Overnight Park presents a situation that demands extreme caution. The multiple, consistent reports of filthy facilities, lack of maintenance, stray animal problems, poor management, and unusual payment policies should be taken very seriously. It is strongly recommended that prospective visitors avoid this park based on the available feedback.
Attempting to contact the park management at the provided phone numbers might offer their perspective, but the detailed and negative experiences shared by multiple reviewers suggest systemic issues that may not be easily resolved. Visiting the park in person to assess the conditions firsthand would likely corroborate the negative feedback, but given the descriptions, it might be an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary experience.
In conclusion, the available reviews of Interstate RV Overnight Park in Christiansburg, VA, paint a dire picture of a facility suffering from significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, management, and potentially questionable financial practices. For local users considering 'RV Parks Near Me', this park appears to be a highly undesirable option based on the experiences of recent visitors. It is strongly recommended to seek alternative RV parks in the Christiansburg area that have received more positive and reliable feedback.

Interstate RV Overnight Park Reviews
Edited to add:As I sometimes revisit my reviews I noticed that 2 of the positive reviews are left by management. Alex Hicks is the park, if you can call it that, manager that we spoke with on the phone initially. If I could give less than 1 star I would. We pulled in and drove to a building we assumed was the office. It was not, instead it was a filthy laundry area with two dirty washer & dryers. Upon further examination there were shower facilities attached on the side of the building. They looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years, absolutely disgusting! Heading back to our coach, we noticed a sign on the laundry/shower building that said office at White House, so off we walked to what I can only describe as something the city should condemn. The SMELL permeating from the house when you stepped onto the porch to knock was overwhelmingly rancid, like someone died. Thankfully no one answered the phone or the knocking and we ended up in a much nicer place.Edited to add: The person I spoke with on the phone initially prior to arrival to get rates said he wanted CASH ONLY for overnight stays. I wonder if the park owners are aware of this.
Jun 07, 2024 · Wander LostThis place is a sad excuse for an RV park. Trash and cats everywhere, if you want your area grass cut you better do it yourself. The stray cats climb on and urinate on everything and live under the RV’s. The manager is lazy and rarely around. There is a laundry area but it’s filthy and full of flies. They have raised our rent twice in 2 months and I have seen no maintenance increases. Ridiculous. If I could give it negative stars I definitely would.
May 01, 2024 · Brenda StamperManager will just scam you. Place isn't even worth $20 a night. Better off staying the night at Walmart parking lot. Was told a certain price over phone and demanded something different once I set up. If the owner knew how the place was being managed they would fire them. Sure it's a family situation. It's worth the hour drive to find a different rv spot.
Apr 25, 2024 · Ben NewberryThis campground SEVERELY overcharges and they charge a deposit just so they can come up with an excuse to keep it. On top of that the manager takes bribes to get a better spot on the waiting list and smells awful
Jan 30, 2024 · bradley thurmIt is a great place to park overnight or maybe for a week. It's okay for long-term if you're just looking for the bare necessities. It is moderately child friendly and adequately safe. The pathetic excuse for a local manager leaves a lot to be desired and quite frankly I cannot understand how this person still has a job. And that's the most polite thing I can say about lack of desire to do anything.
