Ackerman's Retirement Park Reviews
I lived at Ackerman's for 6 years & really enjoyed it. My neighbors were great. My trailer was adequate. The people at the Community Center are lovely. The owners are responsive when called. I loved walking the streets for my exercise - very pretty.
Aug 29, 2017 · J MazI have lived here for quite a time and find the street lighting is almost nonexistent. The roads have not been fixed since since it opened since 1957 when it opened. They increased the rent $20.00 and discontinued "Trash pick up" forcing the owner to hire a private trash hauler .Not a Friendly park, I feel. To old to move.Eugene Croteau

Mar 26, 2024 · Marg SchirmThe owners are very mean..they do not treat the elderly that live there with any respect, more like they bully them...they are taking away the G arbadge pick up which they pay a park fee that says G arbadge pick up in the park fee agreement ..so they r taking G arbadge pick up away and going up on the park fee..also they do a horrible job on the roads ..very dangerous for the elderly..they never sand or salt the roads , they barely plow them...u cannot even drive on their property with a dog inside your car, or the person u are GPING to visit gets a warning to be kicked out..AND THE DOG NEVER GOT OUT OF THE CAR..AND MY DOG IS 4 POUNDS...HARMLESS...my dad lives there and they are all afraid to say anything to the owners because they are afraid they will get treated badly or even get kicked out ..they will make up an excuse to boot u out if they don't like YOU, or if you complain...I THINK THEY ARE ELDERLY ABSUERS..YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ABUSE SOMEONE PHYSICALLY TO HAVE IT BE ABUSE...This is my honest OPION..I would never say anything bad unless I know for sure what I see and hear...thanku
Jan 25, 2018 · Kathy GoodsonIn the winter they do a horrible job on the roads...The owners of the park do them not the town...the roads are horrible especially where the driveways are, they are all ripped up and big divots so when they back out their car scraps..And lastly you can't even drive on their property with an dog in your car or the person you are going to visit gets a warning, and this is without taking the dog out of your car...I think that is rediculous and pregitis..understandably no dogs on the property walking but in the car really...I just think the elderly get ignored over there with their issues..and park fee isn't cheap..This is strictly my opinion from what I see and what I have been told by different people that live in that park ..
